The Wharf Master’s House, remodeled in 2010, is situated right in the heart of the most historic district of Natchez.
This spacious home is within walking distance of 12 antebellum homes, including Holly Hedges, Greenlea, Texada, and the Governor Holmes House, four of the oldest & most-toured homes in Natchez. It is only one block from Rosalie and the Great Mississippi River Balloon Race fairgrounds, and just a short stroll to many restaurants and Natchez’ exciting nightlife.
Our home is perfect for large groups, comfortable, and not pretentious. You will feel welcome and at ease in this unique shabby chic cottage decorated with historic family mementos. This is not just any house. This is a home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family reunion. Spacious enough that the children were not under our feet all day. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Natchez.
Melinda was very welcoming when we arrived and made sure we had everything needed for our stay. Highly recommend her for anyone looking to stay in Natchez.
Melinda greeted us with a smile and showed us around the place, making us feel right at home. All the basics such as linens and even a few spare air mattresses were provided for us, but she went even further by stocking the fridge and the kitchen with fresh fruits, drinks and desserts! The home is quite unique with its split level feature and plenty of rooms. We brought a group of 10 and never felt cramped, it was actually just cozy enough. The home is within walking distance of quite a few good restaurants downtown and is on a beautiful street, just walking the blocks was a nice way to catch some of the beautiful Natchez scenery. We will definitely be booking this house with Melinda again!
My family loved our stay. The home was warm, clean, kid friendly, and close to everything. Thanks for allowing us to stay. I will definitely be back.
This home is a great spacious place for the whole family. This was the second time for our family of ten to stay in this house. Enough room for all inside or outside. Check it out I know you will love it. Thanks Melinda for all your hospitality.
My husband and I, along with a few friends visited Natchez for a weekend getaway to tour some of the antebellum homes and take in a little history. I found this property by accident when searching for lodging options and I am so glad I did!! What a treasure! From the minute I contacted Melinda about the property I knew this was a special place. She is so enthusiastic and really wants her guests to have a great experience. She gave us TONS of ideas about local attractions and restaurants...so much that we wished we could have extended our trip! She was always available to answer questions before and during our trip...even though she was traveling herself. The house is adorable and has a lot of history in and of itself. There was more than enough room for our group of 6 to stay there comfortably. It is spacious and the decor makes you feel at home the minute you walk in the door. It's also very easy to find and is in a great location downtown. It's within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and historic homes and just a short drive to many of the other historic homes. I just can't say enough good things about the home and Melinda. It truly was one of the best travel experiences I have ever had and we will definitely stay there again. You just simply must try it!!
