Closest to Disney Magic! Located on Lake Buena Vista, Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort is mere minutes from the gates of Walt Disney World Resort and an easy drive from the Orlando International Airport. This resort offers the ultimate vacation for every member of the family including scheduled transportation to and from the Disney Theme Parks for a fee. Several have said they wished they had spent more time relaxing at the resort rather than the fun but exhausting theme park choice.
If you want a couple free theme park tickets, consider the sales pitch, but you must be ready for some “hassle”, and I emphatically recommend saying NO! They’ll “get it” about the 5th time you tell them NO. If you are curious, I will prepare you with information on the problems of timeshare/vacation ownership. There are several, in spite of the fact that Wyndham has some wonderful resorts in marvelous locations. Unless you’re really “frugal”, you’ll want to skip the pitch!

Three summers ago my family enjoyed Bonnet Creek, from the pools with great slides, to the Wi-Fi for research papers. Our master bedroom was luxurious. If interested, please look over the floor plans at the Wyndham site mentioned above. The shuttles to Disney were very serviceable/convenient. We were able to enjoy our choice of the Disney attractions, but were close to a variety of other points of interest. I would recommend the resort even if i weren't renting it out! We have had to come out of retirement due to a bad year in the market in 2008-2009 and because we were blessed with a new baby, now 6 years of age. There was a “need” in our community and we were honored to adopt. Jonathan has been a joy! Unequivocally worth going back to work, even if we can’t use up all our “points” and have to rent some of them. This year we returned and stayed in Star Island, another of the area Wyndham resorts. It was great although not as cosmopolitan as Bonnet Creek.

Orlando is the epitome of family recreation. There are dozens of extraordinary entertainment options, not to mention the onsite amenities and the pleasure of sitting with loved ones on your balcony and just relaxing while watching Disney’s closing fireworks (only visible from some balconies), or a beautiful sunset.
Our 3 year old, at that time, loved the pools! He and i enjoyed them and their slides while my wife and daughter wore Disney out. We played, napped, swam, watched Thomas the Tank Engine, and cooked. When we left, the ladies were happily worn out and Jonathan and i were relaxed and ready for the next challenge! What a time we had!
Absolutely loved the resort. Very nice, clean, modern, spacious, comfortable with great location.
To be honest at first I was worried about a scam. It sounded too good to be true. The owner, Jon was great. He explained everything. I was still sceptical due to all the crazy stuff you read about happening to people. I was worried about paying someone directly instead of the resort itself, but I went for it. All I can say is I almost didn't write a review cause I wanna keep this gem of a deal to myself, but I'm an honest person and Jon deserves kudos.
I will definitely stay again if you all don't book it all up!
We had an awesome time and great accommodations. The property is very nice. We had read many reviews and most recommended staying in Tower 6 because it had been renovated, this tower was not available on our date but the staff mentioned that Tower 5 had also most recently been renovated and gave us a 2bdrm room there. The room was beautifully decorated and clean. Full kitchen with all the amenities provided. Upon our arrival we went to the supermarket and bought staples such as cereal, milk, eggs and bread among other things. We were able to have a light bkfast before leaving to the parks with our frozen waters. All the parks are extremely close, the furthest one being the Magic Kingdom at 10 minutes away. We drove our own vehicle for the convenience, parking is $17 per day and valid at all parks. We had a view of Epcot and Magic Kingdom fireworks each night. The owner Jon, is easy to reach and awesome to work with, he answers all the questions you have. He also provided the best rate in comparison to others.
We had a great time. Owner was not able to get us into Bonnet Creak so we stayed at Star Island Resort. The property is very nice. We had the two bedroom lock off unit which gave us three bedrooms and two full baths which was great with 3 kids. The rest of the unit had a full kitchen, dinning table and TV area with couch. There is also a washer dryer in the unit. We spent our days at the park so we did not take advantage of the amenities offered except for the pool one night and the kids had a great time. Magic Kingdom is only a 15 minute drive away and there is a grocery store and lots of restaurants close by. The owner was very easy to deal with by email. This was a great home base with kids for a Disney Trip and with the separate bedrooms we were able to have time by ourselves after they were in bed.
My family and I visited Disney in August and rented throug VRBO for the first time. We came across this little sting and it was perfect! I had many questions as this was my first experience using VRBO and the owner answered every email very thorougly and quickly. We had an excellent stay and great interaction with the owner. We will defiantly be using him for our next stay. Thanks you!
Before I begin, the VRBO review submittal was difficult. I was told not to use the location and the owners' names though it is clearly stated in the advertisement.
The resort property was nice, but the best part about our stay was working with the vacation owner. The vacation owners were very helpful and informative. This is our second time using VRBO. We have had two great experiences only because the owners made it a memorable experience. We were able to get a 3 bedroom deluxe with a great view of Walt Disney World and the resort. Make sure you are direct and make specific requests at check-in about the location of the room and the views seen from it. Because we did we got a great view of the fireworks from the numerous Disney parks. The resort and Disney transportation was excellent.
Good news...the 3 bedroom deluxe we stayed in was in Tower 4 on the 11th floor. The rooms were spacious with great views from all around. The grounds were well kept, but the state of the rooms could have been better. Many amenities at the resort and in the room. Well worth the stay.
Now the bad stuff. To protect yourself from extra charges, we recommend you document problems as you enter the room, during your stay and the day you leave (via cell phone recording would be optimal). There were scuff marks and scrapes on walls from luggage, clothes washer and dishwasher made strange noises during cycle. The jetted tub turned on for a self-cleaning in the middle of the night. Keep in mind the resort is a vacation club (timeshare). If you want to stay without the purchase hassle DO NOT answer the room phone. I also recommend you turn down the volume to the lowest setting on the room phone. During our 5 night stay the "tour desk" (timeshare gurus) called our room 12 times. We even received a call at 2 a.m. We knew what we were getting into and avoided all the pitfalls. The pitfalls Wyndham offers are discounted WDW tickets, spa treatments, complimentary breakfast, etc. All these will be offered not at the front desk, but where you pick up your resort parking pass. If the resort worked just as hard on using their maintenance fees to actually keep the rooms in good condition the units/timeshares would sell themselves. However, it was obvious that the resort focuses their attention on high-pressure sells instead...very disappointing.
Again, this was a great stay as long as you know what to expect and you work with the right vacation owner like we did
We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit in tower 6. The resort and condo are beautiful. Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this resort. I am extremely picky and looked at hundreds of resorts and homes in the area and Bonnet Creek is by far the best. Positive features: units are clean & spacious. Beds were extremely comfortable, good water pressure, large balcony & plenty of space. Transportation to parks is easy and headache free. Always room on the bus and drivers were very accommodating. Pools were crowded but not over crowded. We always found a lazy river raft and lounge chairs. Tons for activities to enjoy for all ages. Elevators in towers are fast. Computer room was a major plus for me.
Negative: A/C unit in condo was a little difficult to figure out. Food is a little pricey in store and restaurants.
Recommendations: request tower 6. Pool next to tower 6 is all 0-3 feet deep with lazy river which is perfect for young kids.
Located in an isthmus reaching into the Disney property. Disney attractions are all nearby and accessible via a shuttle for a resort fee. There are dozens of other attractions within a half hour of the resort. I personally really enjoyed 'Arabian Knights', the Kissimmee shopping and attractions alone hwy.192, Sea World, and Universal Studios many attractions, not to mention the variety of eating options!

I will hold your reservation until 60 days before check-in. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is requested then. The balance is due 15 days before check-in. As we communicate, i share a full description of the process and answer all questions you have. We have "guests" to defray maintenance fee expense, (BLAH) and to help families enjoy a vacation with minimal expense. We're not about profit. Since we don't make money on the guests, we ask that those who pay through the secure VRBO payment system add 3% to their total to cover the additional cost of that service.
