|Minimum Stay||2 - 3 nights|
Greet the morning sun as it rises across the river and warms your summer breakfast table. At the close of your dream day, the sun sinks behind the mountains, and you bask in the outdoor hot tub beneath the stars.
Multiple decks and windows look down on the Wenatchee river and and out to a forested ridge at the back, Your stay at the River House provides you with contemplative moments and endless outdoor recreational opportunities just minutes away; enjoy therapeutic spa time at Solstice Spa (www.solsticespa.net), the Leavenworth Golf Course, downtown 'Bavaria' shopping, winery tours and tasting, Icicle Brewing Company, coffee roasters, restaurants and bakeries, live performances, and of course Leavenworth's nationally renowned festivals.
The recreational mecca of the Icicle Valley and its river unfold around you. From the deck, watch commercial rafters and kayakers shoot by, or join them. In the appropriate low water season, SUP board and swim where the river widens into a pool, right in front of the house. Watch and listen to the salmon jump, as they rest up for their final and short journey to the upper Icicle River and the Leavenworth fish hatchery, which you can visit!***
The house has exposed and screened decks to suit any day’s needs. Golden hued pine covers the interior ceilings, and provides a wainscoting in the central living area. Two master size suites grace the house; one upstairs, which shares a lovely tile/stone bathroom with a third bedroom. The second master is downstairs and has a wall mounted, flat screen television, and private bath with shower and a separate non-jetted soaking tub set in a tile deck.
All three bedrooms have queen beds, which are made up with luxury, boutique linens, and comforters and pillow that are 'allergen free'. There is a fold down futon couch in the sitting/office area upstairs. This room has a nice view to the front yard and forested area.
The kitchen can accomadate numerous cooks and visitors. It is equipped for those that love to cook and then kick back and create memories with family and friends.
***Sadly the river is closed to fishing in front of the house. When the season is open (always check, as big fish equals big fines) you can walk down the driveway and fish downriver of the bridge. Check the regulations that accompany your fishing license.

We raised our son & daughter in Leavenworth. The daily & seasonal opportunities for endless outdoor adventures provided for great shared memories and laughter And provided our family with broad life skills, a great love of nature, community, and cultural offerings often unknown to a small area.
We've recently retired from 25+ years of business in Leavenworth, and now split our time between our Leavenworth community and Mexico, a favorite family travel spot where we love to board sail/SUP/snorkel and enjoy the tranquil beauty.
We hope your visit to our River house leaves you rejuvenated and full of wonderful memories, shared adventures, love and laughter. The Zimmermanns

Because of the areas diversity, we own a home in the upper Icicle Valley off the grid (with alternative power), 15 minutes from our River House. We love both homes, and are not ready to give either up, so we now split our time between the upper Icicle home and Mexico, and offer our 'town' home for others to share.
Tranquility and nature, yet we're minutes from town and all it has to offer, as well as a mirad of outdoor recreational opportunities.
We spent 5 days here in the snow and loved every minute of it. The house is spacious and beautiful and has a wonderful view of the river. When we arrived, it was decorated for the holiday (Christmas) - such a nice touch. We had everything we needed and then some. My in-laws kept commenting that it was the best renting experience they'd ever had.
This is our second year staying at this wonderful home less than a five minute drive to downtown Leavenworth. We love the serene setting and space for our family to spend time together, while at the same time being close enough to all the amenities Leavenworth and the surrounding area has to offer.
This was our second stay, we may be back for a third next year! House comfortably fit 6 adults and a couple of small children, it is close enough to town to be convenient but far enough you feel secluded. Lovely home, well kept, clean, beautiful views overlooking the river.
Great views, definitely not walking distance to town.
We had 3 couples and never felt we were on top of each other as we all had our own space.
The kitchen was our gathering spot and it was a wonderful. We would have loved having more than one wine glass and more bar stools at the high counter would have been nice as well.
I had a great experience in the cabin. I rented it for my mom's 60th bday. Location is beautiful right on the river and quiet. We cooked dinner on the bbq and enjoyed the hot tub as well. Linens were very comfy. The layout of the house worked great for spending time together. We had a great time.
We had a wonderful time at this home! We had all been to Leavenworth before, but admitted that this was our favorite place to stay! A great location close to town, but still in a quiet area. The house was welcoming and comfortable, and we really enjoyed how spacious the living area and the outdoor porch was. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your home for a weekend away from the city!
Thirty+ minutes to Lake Wenatchee, 5-15 minutes to hiking and climbing, kayaking, rafting, SUP (rentals at Leavenworth Mnt Sports), snowshoeing, nordic skiing in the Icicle valley. 10 minutes to Ski Hill for alpine skiing and inner tube 'lift, or 45 minutes in either direction to ski Stevens pass or Mission Ridge, which has great vistas of Washington's major peaks! an hour to Lake Chelan.
