About Leslie Seykora
We are Gary and Leslie, two retired teachers who have worn 'other' hats as well. Gary loved to paint houses, Leslie did calligraphy and worked in a financial advisor's office for a time. Right now we are enjoying our new move to Wabasha. We love living in Wabasha because it is a beautiful & friendly place to be! It's also very nice to be able to personally take care of our guests at Harbor View if they need something. We are also the parents of 3 adult sons, 3 wonderful daughters-in-law and grandparents to 8 grands!.
Why Leslie Seykora chose Wabasha
Have to say that as much as we enjoyed bringing our young boys and our boat to Lake City every summer we were delighted to find Wabasha. We came over one day in July years ago and found Harbor View to be perfect for us. The people are what's special about a place and Wabasha has wonderful people. When we returned on one of the coldest days in January we found it to be cozy and peaceful. In the Fall we loved to sit by the fire-ring as we looked at the stars and greeted those who stroll by. We love its situation right by the trail within walking or biking distance of everywhere! Our dog has loved it too! And we could leave our boat nearby in a public slip or on the trailer right next door. Its been fun to meet people from all over the region and sometimes further!
What makes this Condo unique
Wabasha offers a quiet that some of the other rivertowns do not because the railroad and the highway don't run right beside the river here! The first time we saw the National Eagle Center it was just a small storefront downtown filled with the most knowledgeable and accommodating volunteers we ever encountered. It is now in a beautiful new building and has only gotten better. Of course the golf is great and the views from the course stupendous. When we desire a little side trip the small towns up and down the river on both sides offer some exciting diversions for adults and kids alike. We are so impressed with the professional people that provide great art, wonderful theater and a superb variety of music. We could go on and on but we hope you will come and seek out the hidden jewels yourself!

Very nice stay and friendly owners~
My wife and I came to stay for our 10 year anniversary and were very pleasantly surprised with the rental and the small town of Wabasha! The unit was very clean and well furnished. It was just a couple minute walk to the docking area and just a few minutes drive to tons of activities.
The owners were very easy to get ahold of and easy to work with.
Our guests have been discovering that they can put in their kayaks easily while staying at Harbor View in Wabasha. The one nearby Harbor View would be the Ike's Park Access. There are a number of other great places from which to explore the National Wildlife & Fish Refuge nearby as well. Please come and try it out! We'd love to hear about your experiences. We have the BEST guests!
Perfect place for a weekend get away
Love the town and the location. Of course we had to watch grumpy old men and grumpier old men during our stay. Would not hesitate to stay again!!!
Thanks for the great weekend
Great Place for a Couple
My wife and I stayed here near Valentine’s Day for a couple of nights. Everything was great. There were enough kitchen essentials for us to make meals, the jetted tub was great and we’ve already talked about coming back in the summer to enjoy the outdoors a little more.
One thing I would I would be aware of if you bring your dog, we saw lots of people walking their dog off-leash on the walking path adjacent to the property. I’m not sure what the laws are in the park, but that just seemed a bit strange to me.
We are so grateful to good guests who are willing to help us make our Harbor View Suites safer and better. Thank you, Nick! We have contacted the Park & Rec Board here in Wabasha. They have promised to post city signs regarding the regulations concerning owners with pets in public areas. That will include the trail & park beside our Suites. These will include leash regulations and picking up after their pets. When persons are reminded of their responsibilities to these regulations our guests will feel more comfortable knowing they can safely have their children and pets outside in the yard. If anyone sees a pet off-leash they should call the authorities to let them know or at least call us, the owners. We would love to have our guests return!
Very nice location
Harbor View in Wabasha is the best. Walking distance to town , very handy. Next time we are bringing our bikes, the condo is right on a trail.
Clean, comfortable, cozy and centrally located.
Thank you for a great overnight escape! We went for a walk, celebrated our anniversary with dinner at the Harborview, then came back to watch Grumpy Old Men. A totally chill getaway for us both. Thanks again.
It is so fun to know that people want to celebrate their anniversaries by staying at our Harbor View Suites! Some return year by year. This reviewer mentions that they had a wonderful dinner at the Harborview also. That Harborview is a very popular restaurant in Pepin, WI. Pepin is right across the Mississippi and can be easily reached by the Crickner Memorial Bridge. There are only two bridges near Lake Pepin, the northern most one is in Red Wing, MN and 30 miles south of that is our bridge in Wabasha. It makes it so convenient for shopping both sides of the River or for bird-watching and viewing the bluffs. Come to see the Fall Colors starting to show!
Start your day with breakfast at Stacy's Restaurant downtown - Excellent! Then hike on the bluffs or rent bikes for the trail. Swim in the river or at the Municipal pool. Stop in Broken Paddle Tours to sign on with kayaking lessons and more. Get some fishing tips from the people who meet at the fishing raft next to the levy just outside of town. Six miles from our place you will find Lark Toy Company which Readers Digest chose as one of the 10 best toy stores in the world! You will find toys for all ages as well as mini-golf with colored water falls, llamas grazing in the back, toy-makers busy at work where you can watch and, best of all, a handmade unique indoor Carousel that you won't want to pass up! Sandwiches and treats are sold there as well. It is an adventure in itself south of Wabasha near Kellogg on Hwy 61. Six miles going west on Hwy 61 history buffs will find the excellent Wabasha County Museum. Great little shops & vineyards are on BOTH sides of the Mississippi along the Great River Roads. Walk, bike or drive across the bridge at Wabasha to Nelson, WI and stop at the Nelson Creamery for either coffee, wine or scrumptious sandwiches and the best ice cream around. Golf at The Bluffs at Coffee Mill just up the bluff. If you don't golf stop for dinner and enjoy the splendid views of the Mississippi and Chippewa River valleys from their dining room and patio. In the winter ski or tube down the hills at Coffee Mill Ski area. It has the longest vertical drop in the area. Last but not least - Don't miss the National Eagle Center downtown! One of only two in the nation, these people KNOW eagles. It is a fun place to learn about our nation's bird and to see about four or five of them up close and personal. You'll love it.
