Newburyport is a beautiful town, full of history, water access, shops and restaurants.
The waterfront offers sunset cruises, kayaking, excellent fishing charters, and nearby beaches.
Located just 40 miles north of Boston, and less than 30 minutes drive to Portsmouth, NH, it is a great location for day trips for exploring other New England attractions.
There is something for everybody in Newburyport!
Beautiful walking to all city attractions, water view, historic charm, great outdoor spaces, amazing kitchen!
Overall ok; very rustic which was not indicated in the website photos. We arrived during a hot spell and the room AC were loud and generally not very efficient making for some stuffy nights. One of the bed mattresses were not up to standard. Overall, ok. The venue is truly worthwhile, the town is charming and the week was worth repeating
Enjoyed our stay immensely. Plenty of things to do in town and a 5 minute scenic drive to Plum Island beaches and
wildlife refuge. Good lobsters and a fabulous kitchen to cook them in...very cool wine "cellar" under the stairs. Patio was great for al fresco dining and upper deck for catching the view and a breeze.
We had a bit of a difficult time figuring out how to light the infrared grille and had to call the owner for assistance.
He responded within 10 minutes even though he was on a sailboat in Maine.
My husband and I spent a month in this charming house. Well-appointed kitchen with high end appliances, private back patio and upper deck with great views of the estuary and Plum Island and a spacious living room were much appreciated. THe sloping plank floors on the second level remind you that this house has a few centuries under its belt. Loved the location…everything is within walking distance.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Newburyport home. The neighborhood was pleasant and quiet. The town is very vibrant and there's lots to do and see close by. The home itself was quite roomy with kitchen updates as well as bathroom updates. It would have been nice to have more detailed instructions for the appliances (including the washer and dryer) and electronics. We liked the balcony and the TV room. Also appreciate having dishes, spices if needed, towels, etc. We felt right at home! Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation location!
Excellent stay downtown. The property had numerous amenities.I would go back.
We had a great time during our girls weekend. Amazing gourmet kitchen, great patio and deck with views of the water. We easily walked into town every night for dinner. I would highly recommend this house!
Walk to nearby shops, restaurants, waterfront boardwalk, sunset cruises, fishing charters, kayak and bike rentals. Close to beautiful Plum Island beaches (3.5mi). Spectacular sunrise and moonrise over the water from the 2nd floor deck!
