FLORENCE ITALY PERFECT AMORE APARTMENT
Take in the splendor of Florence with vast views and an expansive terrace. We dubbed this apartment Amore because we fell in love with the heartstopping views and terraces which are the centerpiece of this special apartment.
Florence`s Oltrarno is prized for it many wonderful restaurants and fine Florentine craft workshops. The walk up to the apartment is about two blocks and can be made by walking up the street or via steps that rise from the river. A short but steep uphill walk and you`ll be well rewarded by the spectacular views when you reach the Amore apartment.
The Amore apartment is located on the top floor, with elevator. A sofa bed in the living room can sleep one. It is flanked by two upholstered arm chairs. An antique bureau greets you as you step into the apartment. Enjoy the marvelous views of historic Florence.
The dining area seats four. There are wood floors throughout the apartment. French doors by the dining table lead out to the terrace.
The main terrace is on two levels, paved in terracotta tiles. The lower level, accessed off the dining area has a table and four chairs. Views from this terrace faces towards the south, with wonderful views of Florence`s Oltrarno area as well as the center of the city. The kitchen window has views out onto this terrace. A flight of stairs leads to the upper terrace which has two recliners for sunbathing, and a small table and chairs. This apartment has views, views and more views! Take in all 360 degrees of historic sites, from San Miniato to the Duomo to the hills of Tuscany. Watch the light as it moves across the buildings and enjoy living with fabulous views of Florence that few get to experience. These terraces will surely be the setting for many wonderful hours where you can enjoy meals, coffee or cocktails under sunny Florentine skies, certain to make for special memories of your Florence stay.
The living & dining room furniture is basic. If you are not expecting luxury but want great views, this apartment is a good choice.
The kitchen is small. It has microwave, 4 burner gas stove, refrigerator with separate freezer section, dishwasher. The washing machine is in the kitchen.
The bedroom has a divisible 'king', two single beds that can be made up separately or joined to form a bed that is 10 inches wider than a North American Queen and 6 inches narrower than a King. It is nicely appointed with an antique cornice detail and a painting over the bed that lends a romantic touch. Another surprise is the little terrace off the bedroom. This small terrace has nice views too and two lounge chairs.
The bathroom is accessed off the living room. It has a bathtub with shower attachment, toilet and bidet.

Nice location, fantastic views, walkable to the sites.
Remarkable views that are truly stunning.
Overall, we were very happy with the apartment. While small, which we expected, it was pleasingly designed and very comfortable. Nice towels and linens, plenty of closet space, a nice home away from home. 2. We loved the location - it couldn't have been more perfect. Just away from the tourist crowds, but close to everything. 3. We discovered lots of modest restaurants nearby. A few highlights - Trattoria Cent'Ori in the San Nicolo neighborhood with the best lunchtime special anywhere (10 euros each, including wine and coperto, and terrific cooking), Trattoria Casalinga near Piazza Santo Spirito, Le Volpi e l'Uva wine bar, a great wine and buffet special every evening at Golden View Wine Bar on Via Bardi, and the Cantina del Gelato, the best gelateria we found anywhere in Italy, just a few meters from the apartment. 4. We definitely will recommend (and have already) ItalyPerfect to friends.
We couldn't have picked a more perfect and romantic place to spend our honeymoon and Christmas. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. The terrace above was a spectacular place to eat breakfast. It was also a great place to stop by in the afternoon as a break from walking around, as well as at night. It's truly a panoramic view of the city. The greeter that was nice enough to let us in at 11pm. He also gave us a map and pointed out some great restaurants nearby and important nearby sights he recommended. He pointed out the Uffizi, Academy of Arts, Michelangelo's Plaza, and other places.
The apartment was about a three minute walk down some steps to the Ponte Vecchio. Before reaching the Ponte Vecchio, around the corner is a grocery store, wine shop, and a very nice place to eat called Golden View, which is on the Arno and overlooks the Ponte Vecchio.
Our surrounding area was very safe and in a great part of town. I would recommend Italy Perfect to a friend, and we are even hoping to return to this apartment for an anniversary or something someday!
When evaluating accommodations, the most helpful reviews often deal with the prosaic, important information that reveals crucial details regarding physical comfort. I firmly agree with the previous reviews about the great condition of the apartment and of its stellar location. In addition, the greeter, Emanuele, was kind, patient, and professional. All of the tangible pieces are there, such as cleanliness, elegance, and security,
It is evident that many who stay at Amore seek the right words to describe the intangibles that encompass the visual and emotional impact of this apartment. If you come to Florence you come for the beauty of it. At Amore, Florence is laid out before you like a feast. The apartment provides a 360 degree view of the mountains, the valley, and the river. In life, especially in Italy, there are those times when you feel intensely how fortunate you are. I am sure that my friend and I are not the only ones to feel that way while at Amore.
This apartment has terraces that face the Dome across the river. Throughout the day, from your bird's eye view you can glimpse the movement of the bells in spires across the city. You are literally on top of the world. Many thanks to the apartment owners and to Italy Perfect for such an unforgettable experience.
We stayed at Amore in July, 2015. What an absolute pleasure - the apartment was actually lovelier than the pictures depicted! The moment we walked in we gasped at the vistas of Florence. Three fantastic terraces, each offering a unique view. The small terrace off the quiet, spacious bedroom is covered and cool for morning coffee. The large terrace off the living area is where we spent most of our time. The upper terrace is fabulous for evenings to soak up the panoramic 360 sights. All terraces had well-kept flowers that brightened the areas, windows had electronic shades to block out sun during day. The apartment was very clean with living area surprisingly spacious, generous room in the bathroom and all essentials in the kitchen. The location was flawless - easy access to grocery store and wine store and the Oltrarno district was a welcome change from busier areas. Minutes away from the Ponte Vecchio, historical sites and fabulous restaurants and shops. The stairs leading up were a great way to burn off pasta and sweets! We will be back - next time bringing family and friends!
Based on the photos we saw, our expectations were high and the Amore exceeded them. When we first walked into the apartment and saw the view from the living room window, it took our breath away. The views from the balconies were amazing, We spent most of our time while in the apartment on the balcony off of the dining room - sunsets were spectacular!
The location is great - close to everything yet a very quiet residential neighborhood so you really get the best of both worlds. After battling tourists all day, it was a welcome reprieve to return to our quiet oasis. Great shops and restaurants close by. Yes there are a lot of steps to get to the apartment via the most direct route from the bridge but you can walk straight down the street if you really want to avoid them. Thankfully the apartment building has an elevator.
The living areas are actually larger than they look in the photos while the bedroom was smaller but still a decent size for Europe. The kitchen is tiny but has everything you need including a dishwasher which was a surprise. The WiFi worked fine for us.
The only improvement would be in the mattresses in the bedroom - they are not very comfortable. The mattress in the fold out couch in the living room was actually better.
The bathroom has decent water pressure, great vanity space and a hair dryer.
Our greeter Cristina was so welcoming and helpful. Our taxi driver from the airport claimed he could not get up to the apartment and would have to drop off us and our luggage at the bottom of the steps. She got on the phone with him and gave him directions to our doorstep. She also arranged to have a taxi pick us up and honored our request for more linens.
I would highly recommend this apartment - a great value for the money. It is beautiful, in a great location and with 3 balconies - you never want to leave! While the local neighbors call it the honeymoon suite, it is perfect for singles as well. We would definitely stay there again.
I had worked with Paris Perfect before and found Italy Perfect to be just as wonderful - you can trust that they will have the best places and the best service. I love all of the information they provide on local shops, restaurants and things to do.
We had a fantastic time. The Amore apartment was beautiful. The terraces had a gorgeous views of the city. Manuel (the greeter) was very help full with suggestions of restaurants and grocery shopping. The walk to the apartment wasn't as bad as some of the reviews I had read. SO don't let those reviews frighten you away from a fantastic place to stay! I have already recommended Ital Perfect to a few friends and clients.
The Amore apartment far exceeded any "expectation" I might have had! The apartment is conveniently located for walking, and the views are simply spectacular in all directions. The church bells are charming and the immediacy of the duomo constantly remind visitors that they are in Florence!
Pat and the Italy Perfect crew could not have been more organized and kind... I look forward to another adventure booked through IP!
