My husband and I are from Kansas City originally. Even though we have lived a long time somewhere else, we still enjoy visiting the KC area and connecting with family and old friends. Our children are grown and love to visit KC too, especially for shopping and sporting events. In addition, business and medical needs find us frequently in the city. It made perfect sense to us to purchase a second residence when examining how much time and money we spend in hotels.
We have had excellent experiences being guests of others who have allowed us to stay in their 'homes away from home'. We just wanted to allow others the same opportunity as we have had.
After purchasing our first home away from home we found the hospitality aspect of vacation rental very enjoyable! That resulted in our acquisition of this second KC condo in downtown. We enjoy staying in each residence as each offers something different to enjoy in KC! We hope our guests will too!
Bette Beard purchased this condo in 2015
Kansas City is considered one of the most up and coming cities in the nation. This condo is near to all the downtown attractions and the new Kansas City Trolley gives visitors added ease to reach their downtown destinations. Near by all the downtown activities and entertainment. Easy access to major highways so that sporting events at Arrowhead and The Royals Stadiums are within minutes by car.
I was in Kansas City for 4 months for work. This condo had everything that I needed. Everything was clean and was close to everything in the Power and Light District for food and fun. I would definitely stay here again. I highly enjoyed my stay! Bette, the owner, was great and super nice. I recommend the Soho Condo.
This loft was better than the pictures. Super cute and well laid out, with all the amenities we wanted. View, coffee, microwave, hairdryer, really good internet, t.v., etc. Really comfortable bed and hot shower. It's located within walking or streetcar distance from the cool downtown places. Definitely where you want to be. Bakery is as good as other reviews. We ate there every morning. Check in was smooth and easy. The reason I gave it a 4 is because we were there during the week (not sure if this would be different on weekends), but the upstairs neighbor put on what sounded like her work heels and stomped around just above our heads. She took her dog out and then came back to get ready for work. (This is what it sounded like anyway). Time about 6:30 to 8:00 each morning. So my recommendation is that although we will definitely book this loft again, we will bring earplugs or a white noise sound machine to block out Miss heavy feet upstairs.
We had a great time in KC. The condo was awesome, if you ever want to experience staying in a loft condo this is it. It had everything thing we needed. It is close to everything, it is 2 blocks from the streetcar which can get you anywhere you want, the phoenix jazz club is 2 doors down. Just an incredible place in a great location.
This place was amazing and was perfect for my needs. It is super clean and tastefully decorated, so it felt like I was on vacation. I had everything I needed and it made me feel like I was working from home. Close to everything, restaurants nearby and the bakery downstairs was just an extra special bonus. The owner was the best and super easy to deal with, as well as very accommodating. I highly recommend this location if you're playing or working in the KC area. This is the best deal out there!
Upon arrival, the loft was clean and well appointed. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cooking needs. There are detailed instructions for using the window blinds, fold out bed, tv system - all very helpful info. Beautiful views from the windows, a great bakery downstairs for coffee and pastries, and a lovely jazz club at the end of the block. You can easily reach any part of the city within 10-20 minutes. But the particular block of the location is quiet and pleasant at all hours. Five blocks to the nearest grocery (upscale). Just a delight - wish we could own it! Plus, for the couple of questions we had, the owner was always available and quick to respond.
Loft was clean and very convenient. Perfect for engaging in a city lifestyle. Property owner was very quick with responses when questions arose. Would definitely recommend to anyone, overall fantastic stay.
Nearby the Phoenix Jazz bar, Scratch Bakery, and other restaurants within walking distance. A little over a half mile to the exciting Power and Light District. Don't forget to visit the City Market that you can walk to if you don't buy too much! Easy access to I-70, so the Royals and Chiefs are readily accessible.
