This 5 Star (VisitScotland rated) apartment 2 provides sumptuous accommodation

These luxurious flats are located in an elegant Georgian townhouse, less than a 5 minute walk from central Princes Street and provide a very high standard of accommodation.

The first floor apartment (no. 2) is bi-annually inspected by the Scottish Tourist Board and awarded 5 stars - a world class grading. The flat is superbly equipped with a 43' plasma screen TV and an integrated sound system supplying music to every room in the flat. The 3 large windows overlook the delightful private Queen Street gardens for which a key is provided. This elegant room benefits from a remote controlled gas coal-effect fire and the two large sofas convert into beds should guests be staying over. The modern kitchen has granite worktops and is fully equipped with Siemens washer/dryer, Siemens dishwasher, two Siemens ovens - one with microwave - fridge freezer, waste disposal unit and wall-mounted LCD TV. There is a 3 ring electric induction hob and a large gas ring to choose from. The luxury shower has a ceiling 'drench' head and 4 body jets. The bedroom, situated to the quiet rear of the property, has a fantastic antique 4 poster bed, fitted wardrobes and dressing table. Clock radio, hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided as is free Wi-Fi.

The ground floor apartment (no 1) has a similarly impressive living room but has the added feature of an early 19th century wall mural. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The stylish bedroom faces the quiet rear of the building. Please note that the shower room is accessed from the bedroom.

The apartment overlooks the private Queen Street Gardens for which a key is provided. This is a peaceful haven in the middle of the city centre with manicured lawns, mature trees and an array of beautiful flowers and shrubs. There is small lake with an island in the gardens which is reputed to have given Robert Louis Stevenson (who lived on the other side of the gardens when he was a boy) the idea for his book 'Treasure Island'.

Great apartment

This apartment is terrific. It is light and roomy and comfortable. It has a large living room with big windows with a nice view of the private garden across the street. That private garden is accessible for renters and is beautiful and quiet. The photos on the site and the owner's description provide an excellent sense of the apartment.The location of the apartment is perfect. It is quiet and there are a number of really good restaurants nearby. We didn't have enough time in five days to get to all of them. Old Town is a very manageable walk away, as are the Royal Botanic Gardens. It was easy to walk every where. I recommend this apartment highly.

Wonderful in many ways !

We stayed in this apartment recently for 4 nights. Francois met us there & showed us around and in the apartment there is also a book about things regarding the apartment and the area. And probably one of the best things about the apartment is the location - it's maybe a 10 minute walk to Princes street and many other locations. If you don't have a car, use City Cabs - they were great & picked us up promptly on the day we had to leave early for the airport. Also in the area are many restaurants including Urban Angel & Hendersons for breakfast, not to mention a Starbucks, as well as good restaurants like The Dogs, The Dome, Wildfire, and many others that are only a little further like a 10-15 minute walk. The apartment itself has a huge living room & a large flatscreen Pioneer TV that worked very well for us. The kitchen is long & narrow with all the equipment you could need. The bedroom is average size but has a very large wardrobe cabinet with many hangers & a lot of storage. In all honestly the bathroom is very small but everything was in working order so we managed. It is nice for ladies that there is a table & chair in the bedroom with a nice mirror if needed for getting ready. The apartment is very quiet - there is one apartment below it and one above it and we heard no noise from either. We also felt the apartment was in a safe area and secure. All in all, a wonderful place to stay !

Great location in an elegant Georgian town home flat

Our Edinburgh stay in this apartment was excellent. The apartment had charm and up-to-date bath and kitchen as well as a comfortable bed. The views to the Queen Street Gardens were lovely and having a key to access the garden was great; especially so we could enjoy the beautiful Spring flowers. Francois was accommodating with our arrival schedule. We found the location to be great for walking to all the sites, and enjoyed many of the recommended restaurants. We highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Edinburgh's New Town.

Like being at home!

The property is in a perfect location to visit the city or enjoy the evening life. Everything you need is available. Mr. Boissiere has been really kind and helpful considering our two small children. I really recommend the apartament and will surely book it again for future stay!

Just what you see. Everything was high quility

Perfect location to old and new town. This location is on a safe street with shopping for everything you would need near by. We stayed a month and would do it again. The wifi upload speed was (at the time I stayed) 6 download and .8 upload. Our host was on top of communication. High quality and has everything you need pots, washer /dryer, towels.... LOVED this place!

Wonderful apartment

My husband and I enjoyed this super comfortable, beautiful and clean apartment for a week. The description is accurate; we have been in over fifty apartments and this one qualifies as the one with "the best interior".

We will surely recommend it to our friends and, whenever in Edinburgh, we will be back in this great apartment!

This flat occupies the Drawing Room (1st) floor of what was a Georgian gentleman's 18th Century Town House. The property was fully renovated in 1998 and our flat has been continuously improved by us since we bought it in 2001.
