x: Surely the most important province's winter station placed at Brembana Valley limb.
Modern and wide looking, Foppolo offers to ski lovers its long tracks suitable for novices and not only. Because of the good spot where Foppolo is located, the snow mantle is well kept untill late spring. Station of international level, it's surely the most known bergamasca and lombarda ski station.
The resort has direct access to 70km of downhill piste with 18 individual pistes served by 8 ski lifts. The ski resort itself is above 1500m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.
San Simone ski resort: 8 km from Foppolo, San Simone is one of the most suggestive areas of the Brembana Valley. Especially indicated for those who love to ski at direct contact with nature, San Simone is what you need for your weekends.
The different skills tracks offer fun for novices and experts skiers. This high Brembana Valley' station is the most 'spartan' place of the whole Bergamasco alpine arc. That's because at the time of its creation the skiing matter was the major priority than anything else there.
A very efficentclimb station has been built to better manage the large amount of people who every weekend populate the plants. Besides the usual tracks, the skier has the chance to 'draw' his own tracks on an always substantial snow mantle.
Valtorta ski resort: The ski station of Valtorta Piani di Bobbio is the newest in Brembana Valley. The connection with Piani di Bobbio makes this ski station one of the up modern ski Station in Lombardy. The Ski Station is composed most by intermediate slopes (red), however is pretty good indicated for novices and the experts can enjoy at the slopes called 'Cedrino', 'Nube Bianca' and 'Tre Signori', which are usually the richest of snow and they hold out with snow across the months
The Ski Arear is placed at the center of a cirlce, composed by beautiful mountains leaded by Pizzo Tre Signori
La "Casa Amici del Bosco " hace honor a su nombre. Trato muy cordial, Simona la encargada de la casa es un encanto, y sobre todo nos pesa no haber tenido más tiempo para disfrutar de la casa y el entorno.
Prometemos regresar pronto.
Desde Pucela, Valladolid.
A group of 5 of us went to stay at this property. It was ideal for us having 4 bedrooms each with en--suite facilities.
The owner, Simona, is very friendly and helpful and, due to our very delayed arrival (nearly midnight) arranged for us to be met in the village so that we would not get lost driving to the villa.
The villa itself is superb set in a beautiful location. It is tranquil and very well stocked with everything you need. We hadn't realised that it is in a fairly remote location so driving is a necessity. However this was not a problem. There is a very large supermarket just a few kms away and we stocked up on supplies and became self-sufficient for most of our stay enjoying the facilities and tranquillity of the villa.
We found a superb, family run. restaurant in a nearby town (Ambivere) called Trattoria Visconti. It's about 10-15 minute drive from the villa and there is parking on site. The food and service there is excellent and we visited twice during our stay.
All in all a very enjoyable holiday
This is a wonderful getaway in a central location in northern Italy. The villa was well equipped and had excellent amenities. The porch and the outside areas were beautiful and comfortable for large parties. I would definitely recommend this!
We really enjoyed our time at the Casa del Bosco. We used it as a base for going to the Italian Grand Prix and it worked very well indeed. We drove to a train station about 10 mins away (not Bergamo) and parked there and went on from there. The villa itself is lovely and very quiet, up above the village. Great modern bathrooms and lovely bedrooms, with a great hot tub to relax in of an evening. Simona and the lady who came to show us in were both extremely helpful, with excellent tips as to where to eat - best gluten free pizza restaurant ever in a little town nearby which was perfect for us. Would highly recommend this place as we had a wonderful week there.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at a beautiful location in a fabulous home. Simona was exceptional in her service, even making recommendations of places and sights to see, which again my family and I loved every minute. From Bergamo, to lake Como to Expo in Milan all of which added to one of our favourite family holidays ever. A special mention to Cristina, the housekeeper who greeted us on arrival and could not do enough to make sure we where well looked after. Thank you Simona for letting us stay at your beautiful home, we will return.

Bergamo is a charming city divided into two. Citta’ Alta is the upper walled part of the city. Perched on a hilltop, it enjoys views of the city below and features narrow medieval streets, Renaissance palaces and impressive monuments, such as Colleoni Chapel.
The lower city (Citta’ Bassa) is home to Accademia Carrara art museum plus other galleries and many churches featuring magnificent works of art by Lorenzo Lotto.
Away from town, visitors will find an endless haven of picturesque countryside and a range of activities plus shopping - with fashion capital Milan easily accessible.
Just north of Bergamo is Italy’s lake district, home of Iseo, Garda, Como and Maggiore. These narrow long lakes are of glacial origin and make a picturesque setting as blue waters meet lush green mountains.
In winter, within an hour drive from the villa, you can reach several ski resorts, either in the Brembana's valley or Seriana's valley.
Other Activities: Cookery lesson
Ski: Within an hour drive from the villa you can reach the ski resorts of the Brembana and Seriana Valleys.
