Feel right at home in this 3BR/2BA two story home on Lookout Mountain. Just one mile to Rock City and less than four miles to Ruby Falls, Covenant Cottage sleeps up to eight (8) - four in twin bunk beds.
A nice sized working kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at 'home' during your stay. The comfortable living room has a large sunny window, cozy furnishings, a 'take-one, leave-one' bookshelf, and cable television for entertainment. There is a covered back patio for picnics which compliments this fabulous location near all the Chattanooga attractions. There is also a full sized washer and dryer in the lower level to make your vacation a bit more convenient.
Nestled at the end of a quiet street in the woods, this well appointed home is only eight miles from downtown. If you decide you want to stay in, you can grill out and then sit by the fire pit for s'mores. This lovely home is "independently owned and operated" by Covenant College alumni. Plus, it is only four minutes from Covenant College.
The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
When Hurricane Matthew cancelled our plans for a beach vacation in SC and one part of our party got rerouted to Atlanta, we had to come up with Plan B quickly, so Chattanooga seemed like a good choice. Searching for a rental on a Monday to check in Tuesday seemed unlikely to yield anything worthwhile, but we scored big with Covenant Cottage! The location was great for all things Chattanooga, the space was great for our 3 adults, 2 teens, and 2 children, and the setting was perfect for grilled dinners, s'mores over the bonfire, and family game night. Great getaway!
The house is located at the very top of Lookout Mountain and it is in a quiet area. The place even came with an outside fire pit so that we could roast marshmallows with the kids. The house was very clean and equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. I highly recommend choosing this location when you come to Chattanooga.
Our stay was fantastic! Owners/managers were very accommodating as this was a last minute spur of the moment trip. Home was lovely and quiet. But we were so close to it all! I highly recommend this home or any other properties managed by this team!
Perfect place for our family of six to stay for my sister's wedding by Rock City. It felt like a home, and provided room for the family to hang out, especially on the porch to enjoy the fall leaves and weather. My family used the cards and board games two nights to have fun. So close to Rock City and other places our family and friends were staying. If it's your first time on Lookout Mountain, like it was ours, I'd recommend making sure to arrive before dark, as we didn't, and encountered steep roads up the mountain with dense fog that made it hard to find the house. But daylight was perfect. Our kids loved the brownies too!
This house is one mile to Rock City, four miles to Ruby Falls, and eight miles to the Tennessee Aquarium. Whitewater Rafting at the 1996 Olympic Venue on the Ocoee River is about 45 minutes away. There is hang gliding, mountain biking, hiking, trail running, paddle boarding, kayaking, bouldering, trad climbing, road biking, running, etc. We also have the Childrens' Discovery Museum, the Hunter Art Museum, and numerous restaurants ranging from terrific hot dogs at GOOD DOG to northern Italian at Alleia, Hennen's, and St. John's to locally sourced food at The Feed Company Table and Tavern and 1885 Coastal Grill, Canyon Grill, and Boathouse Restaurant. If you want BBQ try Sugar's Ribs (two locations) and Purple Daisy in St. Elmo. For texmex, our local favorite is Mojo Burritto.
