Apartment is 20 steps to Congress St. where you will have stunning views of Casco Bay. The opposite end of the street offers an equally impressive view of the water. There is a walking path close by that in one direction goes to Portland's Old Port or venture in the other direction to connect to the 3.75 mile Back Bay area walking path.

Portland is an ideal 'home base' to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage or to do holiday shopping in downtown Portland, the Old Port or the nearby outlets in Freeport, just a 20 minute drive.

Drive across the bridge to Cape Elizabeth to see lighthouses and breathtaking views of the coast.

There are several beaches and state parks the are approximately a 20 to 30 minute drive.

This is the perfect place to stay on the Eastern Promenade. You can walk to downtown, restaurants, pubs everything is just right outside your door. A block away from the water!

Ideal place to stay to enjoy Portland

Great location, walkable to ferry terminal, close to coffee shop and Eastern Promenade. Apartment is clean, comfortable beds, kitchen necessities available; and spacious. All the extras to make us comfortable. Nick was welcoming, apartment was set up well with easy security. Our group of 5 women really enjoyed our Portland weekend!

Great host, beautiful apartment

When we arrived Nick showed us the apartments, texted us the door lock combination (so we would have it with us when we went out) and answered questions about Portland. (brew pubs, restaurants, etc.) The apartment is conveniently located and well appointed. Very happy with our stay.

Felt like a local in the East End!!

This is a wonderful place to serve as a home base in the Portland area. Our family of four stayed in the first and second floor apartments. The layout was identical in both of the apartments and accurately described. The neighborhood is very quiet with little outside noise. The apartments are very spacious with a bright living room located in the front of the apartments with plenty of comfortable seating and modern television sets. The kitchen had Keurig coffee makers and several K pods. Some of the bedrooms had window AC units, but we did not need them during our stay. We opened the windows when we were at the apartments to take in the fresh Maine air. The dining rooms are large and spacious. A bathroom separates the first two bedrooms and the smallest bedroom is located at the rear of the apartments and it is adjacent to a large bathroom with a stacking washer/dryer combination. Both properties were immaculate and well-appointed. Nick left a thorough booklet of information in the kitchen of both apartments that included pertinent information regarding the workings of the apartments, recommended restaurants and maps of the surrounding towns. The wifi was good. Thoughtful extras included night lights, flashlights, emergency sewing kits and make-up remover cloths (to spare the washcloths). Beach towels and beach chairs were also provided in both apartments. The location was perfect....two blocks from the Eastern Promenade and the associated trails, a few blocks from great coffee at Hilltop Coffee and the daily baked goods and artisan food/yogurt at Rosemont Market and Bakery. The Front Room is a short skip up the street and has an awesome Happy Hour and yummy brunches. All of these places are within a five minute walk from the apartments. Parking on the street did not appear to be an issue. You can be in downtown Portland in less than ten minutes by car which is a good thing since indulging in the amazing food at Eventide, Duck Fat, Fore Street and Central Provisions is a must! We ventured out daily to the many adjacent towns along the Southern Coast of Maine to take in the sights, smells and yummy food. Our favorite lobster roll was at The Clam Shack in Kennebunkport. Hit Cong Tu Bot and Boda for interesting Asian food. We loved visiting the Winslow Homer studio at Prouts Neck in Scarborough. Nick was quick to respond to any questions and concerns. I highly recommend this property; you will not be disappointed!
