About Carl Coolidge

We love mountains, rivers, and wildlife. Our son and family live in White Salmon. Our home is in Zillah, WA. We're retired from public education jobs. Our daughters and son work in education also. We enjoy our homes on the Klickitat River. Our cabin was renovated from a 50 year old garage in July of 2010.

Carl Coolidge purchased this house in 2010

Why Carl Coolidge chose Washington

We think the Columbia Gorge is such a beautiful area and it is close to our son and his family.

What makes this house unique

We watch the wild turkeys, blue jays, bald eagles, and deer come around on the property. We have fun rafting and boating the river, as well as fishing. It is fun to hike and walk in the canyon.

Great place! We spent a long weekend in Klickitat for fishing. The house had plenty of room for friends and family. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful property management.

Spacious, clean, comfortable, and right on the Klickitat River. What more could you ask for?

  • 5 of 5

I arrived late, the lights were on as promised. I was really impressed with the comfort of the rental, with plenty of room for me to get my fishing gear ready for early the next morning.

The rental is right on the water, far enough back from the road so that traffic noise doesn't interfere with the sound of the river and I liked that.

I would recommend, and for sure I'll try to book this rental my next trip to Klickitat.

Great place right on the river.

This house is a great place to stay with some friends or your family. Lots of room and has everything you need there. Very clean, close to town. This is my place to stay every year when we come to hire a guide to salmon and steelhead fish.

Location location

This property has two homes on it. We stayed in the bigger one. The home is comfortable and clean. The kitchen comes with everything you will need to prepare meals. There are nice grassy areas for dogs. The river is right there and it is a sandy easy access to the water. The only con is there is no decent outdoor grill. There is a small charcoal one but it was dirty so we didn't want to use it.
