About Perry Williams

Perry & Melinda Williams both grew up spending every summer on Maine lakes and have owned property on the water every year since they were married 32 years ago. Summer days as a kid were spent swimming boating, fishing and playing outdoors sunrise to sunset. They have searched all over Maine for the perfect lakefront property and feel they finally found nirvana on Rangeley Lake.

Perry Williams purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Perry Williams chose Maine

Peace and Quiet. This property is the most relaxing place you will find on any Maine lake. Our location next to Rangeley Lake State Park means we have no neighbors for over 5 miles of lakefront to the west. Moose and deer wander through the open fields , we have both sunrise and sunset views, and the lake has little to no boat traffic even of beautiful summer days. We have many old growth trees, including several apple trees, on the property which attract a variety of birds all year round.

In the winter we have a groomed snowmobile trail on our property the connects to the ITS system with 150 miles of local groomed trails. In the spring, summer and fall our location on Rangeley Lake and directly next to Rangeley Lake State Park is very private. This lake has very few boats and abundant loons that call out day and night. We can't guarantee wildlife sightings every day, but both moose and deer wander through our open meadow quite frequently, especially early in the morning.

Beautiful Quiet Rangeley Lakefront Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in cabin 3, a two bedroom lakefront cottage. When we arrived it was neat and clean and ready for guests--- lots of fluffy towels and extra blankets and pillows. The furnishings were simple yet comfortable. We spent lots of time enjoying the rockers on the screened porch.

Our only disappointment was that we were unable to connect with WIFI at the Niboban lodge with our phones and laptop. We discovered the Inner Eye, an Internet Cafe in Rangeley, and were able to connect there.

Otherwise it was a grand vacation in a peaceful beautiful location.

The Rangeley Lake region includes 6 large lakes and 110 ponds and streams which make the area famous for Trout and Salmon fishing in the spring, summer and fall. Outdoor activities abound in all 4 seasons starting in the Winter with downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking PLUS 150 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. This is snowmobile heaven and riders travel from all over to enjoy our trails. We are located at 1,500 base elevation which means we get more snow and keep more snow than other parts of Maine. Downhill skiing is 15 minutes away at Saddleback or 30 minutes away at Sugarloaf USA, the site of world cup alpine races. In the Spring the fishing is the best in the northeast on several large rivers and all the lakes. In the Summer the hiking, biking, swimming, boating and fishing are excellent. The air is cool and clear and the star gazing is fantastic with no city lights to detract. Our location on the south shore of Rangeley Lake is very private and quiet making for an extremely peaceful action destination. In the Fall the foliage is unsurpassed in all of New England. The mountain air creates vibrant reds, yellows and greens on the mixture of trees. The fall bird and deer hunting is very good and the woods are unlimited for recreation. The Appalachian Trail runs through Rangeley and offers several great day hikes for all levels. There's something magical about Rangeley that's hard to put into words, but everyone feels it when they visit the area as travelers have for over 150 years.
