Older building better cleaning would make unit much more sttractive

Replace liners on burners of stove and clean stovetop, wipe down handle of refrigerator and wall light switch plates would help overall unit. Couch in bedroom worn and dirty. Coat of paint and better cleaning would make unit much more attractive. TV in bedroom did not work; cable & internet only worked first night. Did not call since only staying 3 nights. Hair in bathtub upon arrival; toilet difficult to flush. Living room couches are new and carpet looked relatively new and clean

This was a special trip planned for my 12 year old grandson who has nonverbal Autism and CP. I saw this wide beach, swimming pool and nicely decorated one bedroom unit, and thought it would be perfect as he loves water! Upon entering the building, my sister and I noted it was aged and needed some upkeep. More important was our unit. Skylar depends upon his iPad to communicate and uses it constantly for entertainment. Unfortunately, there was no internet or tv, which was included in our contract. After several phone calls to multiple sources, this was fixed after almost 24 hours. The unit furniture had broken handles, drawers and doors that were difficult to open and close, and were covered with a film of dust and dirt. The bathroom caulking around the tub was brown, the door hook was broken with a plastic hanger hanging as a "fix", the sink plug was broken. It lacked a booklet or paper with information about the building telling where to take garbage or recycling, no info on using the tv or channels, and no maps or pamphlets about the immediate area. We did appreciate that we were on the same level as the pool and path to the beach. The pool was very well kept. The beach is not that big wide one you see in the picture, but it was easy to access. I would not recommend this unit until it is cleaned up and repairs are made. It was very disappointing to have planned and paid for a vacation for our very special guy and be faced with disrepair and lack of services.

Pros-2nd floor, leading to pool and beach. Friendly services/people/guest. Location of building was ideal, super market across the street with many more stores within walking distance. View from balcony is exactly as shown. Kid friendly.

Cons-Inside the condo- the layout is very nice. Bedroom was clean and mattress. All couches should be replaced, including ones in living room and bedroom. Visible stains. Trim throughout the condo needs to be fixed/painted. Very dirty looking. Bathroom needs the same care, caulk/paint. This was not a dirty, clean with bleach, problem resolved. It requires a renovation/makeover approach. In addition, new carpet or do without carpet. Pictures displayed are much cleaner than in person. Outside-pool depth is 3 1/2- 9 foot deep. I am 5'2 and needed to stand in the 3 1/2 foot area, as most of the people in the pool did, especially ones with children. it is not ideal for children without swimming devices(deep end has not edge to stand on).

Final thoughts, this condo needs some TLC, otherwise a good condo. Stayed 7/27/17.

The place was old and decrepit. The door to the apartment looked as if it could easily be forced open and in fact had been if the splintering of the frame was anything to go by. The doors onto the balcony could not be locked. Opening the shutters we were presented with the rear of the low rise between us and the sea (okay we should have been aware of this from the write-up) and the noise of air conditioning units. The balcony itself was a mess of old beach parafernalia piled up in a couple of heaps. The fly screen was propped up against the door which would not lock, inside of which were blinds that could not be moved. The carpets were so dirty that we did not want to walk on them in bare feet. The two sofas and the cushions on them appeared very dirty, possibly from mildew. Although in a very poor state of decoration the kitchen and bathroom were fairly clean. The bedroom had no natural light, which turned out to be a good thing as you could not see how bad it was. The bed was a stack of a number of mattresses and toppers probably each added to cover up the the dirty mattress underneath. The televisions were ancient. We do not watch much television when on holiday but these TVs certainly did not encourage us to do so.

Overall not a nice place to be. We thought this would be better than a hotel room. We wish we had opted for a hotel room. We complained and got about a quarter of the money paid back, which did not make up for the very poor experience.
