We were very happy with the location of Baywatch III. Our family has stayed in these unites before and I was very happy to have gotten this booking 10 days before our trip.
There are a few things that I need to share with you that greatly disappointed us however. It was a 2 bedroom condo that sleeps 7 people.
First of all, after delaying ourselves not to show up until check in time at 3pm, we arrived at our unit by 4pm and it still had not been cleaned. Then while we were unpacking and getting settled, 2 women showed up to clean the apartment. I didn't think it was the best time to uproot us and make us leave so they could clean and I certainly didn't want my first hour or so spent watching people clean a unit I paid a lot of money to rent. The cleaning person and the Holiday Rental associate who called me were snippy and nasty to me on the phone, indicating that I was wrong to even be upset about the situation. She was insisting that I let them in to clean the unit. I didn't want them in the unit for 2 hours cleaning on the first day of our vacation. This should have been done before we arrived.
Specs said one bedroom has 2 twin beds and a trundle bed. The so-called trundle bed was a mattress slid under one of the beds. I don't trust false advertising!
Kitchen: no strainer, no sharp knife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (we had to go out and buy a knife; butter knives don't cut many things), temperamental ice machine, etc. I found the kitchen to be lacking in a lot of things that are standard and usually found in a rental.
Bathrooms: This is most likely a sticking point for us and why we may not go back there. The water pressure in the showers was so low. It was almost impossible to rinse your hair and body. One of the showers didn't work at all - no pressure whatsoever. We called and complained and someone was sent over. When we checked the shower - it was actually worse than before! This is so very unacceptable to me that we had to use one shower all week for all of us.
The air conditioning unit in the unit was so loud that you had to shout to speak to anyone. The staff didn't seem to care when we brought it to their attention.
I must say that I may try a different realtor next year as I don't feel the office cared about the problems we were having.
Despite these issues, we did have a wonderful vacation.
