Beautiful house perfect for the family, lots of space, nice kitchen and friendly host

  • 5 of 5

My family and I came up for a snow weekend and we got all the snow we needed, 5 minute drive to Homewood, and a cozy cabin to warm our toes. Jack was very responsive and communicated with us before and after. Highly recommend for families.

Very Comfortable, Well Maintained, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

My Sons and I Really enjoyed our stay, from the time we arrived until the time we left the property owner was very welcoming and helpful (thank you Jack) We would definitely do a return trip we had so many long days adventuring out a little further each day meeting locals, we did venture around the whole lake and stopped in the small towns, we also made it into Reno, Carson City, Virginia City... and after all that to come back to a place that felt like home was great.

Were already planning the next trip there!!

Overall the Trip was a Great Success!

Tahoma House

  • 3 of 5

Pros were the updated kitchen, fenced in yard for our dog, Sugar Pine Park / biking near by, and owner was very responsive. Cons were this house needs a deep cleaning - floors in entry and kitchen/dining room were filthy - we noticed this when our white socks / feet turned black from the dirt on the floors . I ended up cleaning the floors on my hands and knees myself - not something I wanted to be doing on my vacation. Also, lots of spider webs behind furniture, and dog poop in front yard. We had a dog, and cleaned up after her, but also ended up using the shovel in the garage to clean up about 3 bags of other dogs poop that was not our dogs, but was left in the yard. Lastly, pots and pans need a refresh - they were very old and not usable. My sister came up and joined us mid-week and I had to have her bring a large pan for us to use. Lastly, this is a very busy neighborhood, which is fine, but I personally would not rent in Tahoma again for this reason - Overall, we had a great time in Tahoe and enjoyed all the activities this area offers.

Comfortable house, well located

  • 4 of 5

The house was exactly what we needed for 4 adults and 3 children. It was nice to feel "at home", ie some character and feeling that the house is actually used for private use and not just rental. It is well located and Jack the owner was helpful on the phone.
