About the property

Sequim, Washington

FLY IN or DRIVE IN to breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountains and blue salt water which is the essence of peace and relaxation.  Situated on Blue Ribbon Airpark, with tie-downs for your plane available for the asking, this offering is next to a beautiful county park and within walking distance of the Dungeness National Seashore, allowing you to take full advantage of everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer!

Totally updated in 2015, this home with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, has enough sleeping arrangements for 8 guests throughout 2,000 square feet of comfortable open concept living space.  This residence is an ideal choice for a family or close-knit group of friends escaping to the Washington coast. As soon as you pull in the horseshoe driveway you’ll immediately find yourself in awe of this picturesque setting.  A home that allows you to truly admire the incredible Olympic Peninsula scenery. Inside, you’ll find the interior very inviting and warm, boasting charming decor and expansive windows that let in plenty of natural light and incredible views. All the amenities you need to feel at home are here as well, including central heat and air.

After a pleasant day exploring the great outdoors, prepare a delicious home-cooked meal in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with a glass top stove and all the appliances and culinary tools you could desire. On warm evenings, listen to the waves hit the beach while grilling and dining al fresco! Later, retreat indoors to cozy up by the gas fireplace. Watch the new 60” flat screen TV with satellite and DVD player, or play board games.  Lawn games are also available to keep you entertained during your downtime.

Beyond the views, perhaps the best feature of this house is its phenomenal location, situated in the airpark within walking distance of the sea to the Dungeness National Seashore and the Dungeness Lighthouse, which offers some of the best birding in the country.  Additionally, there's the scenic Dungeness County Park and campground right next door with many miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails along the high bank, prairie, and beautiful forest. Two miles to the south is the paved Discovery Trail, winding 40 miles through paradise from Port Angeles to Port Townsend. For even more outdoor recreation and unparalleled sightseeing, venture 17 miles to Hurricane Ridge in the heart of Olympic National Park. Visit Lake Crescent, soak in Sol Duc’s mineral hot springs, or drive through the Olympic Game Farm or tour one of the many nationally acclaimed Lavender Farms. If you're visiting in the spring, flowers are everywhere and the streets are ablaze with cherry blooms. In April, make sure to check out the country's oldest Irrigation Festival. May is bicycle racing, with the starting line only 2 blocks away.  June is berry picking time at one of the many "U-Pick" farms close by, while July brings the Lavender Festival, and the Hot Air Balloon Festival fills the blue sky with color in August. Fall storm watching on the coast is a must see and winter's snowfall offers delightful mountain recreation, such as snowshoeing and skiing.

The house is only 15 minutes from Port Angeles, where you can catch the MV Coho Ferry to Victoria, British Columbia. Bring your passport and do a walk on or drive on for a perfect day in this very British city, with the Parliament Buildings, whale watching tours, the Grand Empress Hotel, world renowned Butchart Gardens, and the artsy inner harbor. Additionally, Victoria abounds with antique shopping, fine dining, museums, parks, public transportation, and more. For another day trip, drive 40 minutes to charming Port Townsend and historic Water Street. Sequim's local restaurants, antiquing and numerous grocery stores, such as Costco, Safeway, and Super Walmart are conveniently available. No matter how you choose to spend your time here, this mesmerizing Sequim vacation rental home will serve as the ultimate home base for exploring the Washington Coast and the Great Northwest!

Beautiful Home for a Peaceful Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The house was amazing- beautiful views, convenient to the derivable distance to Port Angeles area and Marymere Falls. The hosts Bob & Leslie are very responsive to make sure we have everything we need before we reach there and also offered the bottle of Grape Juice and snacks they left for us upon arrival. The views are more beautiful than ever mentioned in the photos from the hall windows (glass). They got very spacious lawn that we can walk over with Coffee time early in the morning to enjoy the pleasant nature.

House was fully equipped with everything which make you feel like even more comfortable than our home. Kitchen was fully supplied with needed utensils and vessels. A beautiful, fresh, and extremely clean house, very thoughtful designed in every little detail - you always have whatever you need at your fingertips.

Overall our stay was short and comfortable. We will definitely return to Eagle's Landing the next time we come back to Olympic National Park.

Thank you Bob and Leslie.

Home away from Home for a relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

The views are more spectacular than what is shown in the photos! Time flies watching watching different birds going about their daily activities or activities on the far off fields or watching birds of prey circling over the distant fields. Close to farms where one can get fresh produce or pick strawberries etc. Conveniently located very close walking or biking disktance to Dungeness Spit. This home is ideal for star gazers on clear night skies.

The hosts have painstakingly taken care of this property to keep it in a condition that will be at par or even better than your own home! They are meticulous and very thoughtfully equipped the home in every possible way to make our stay comfortable. They even have a spotting telescope setup for anyone forgot to get their own. Kitchen is well stocked. All appliances are in top working conditions. Bedrooms and Bathrooms are well stocked. This home is perfect anyone who is allergic to pets as at the time we rented it was advertised no pets are allowed.

They thought of everything!

  • 5 of 5

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Eagle's Landing. We were able to visit Hurricane Ridge, the Hoh Rain Forest, Sequim lavender farms and the Olympic National Park all within a short drive away. Bob and Leslie could not be more welcoming ... The fresh fruit and wine was such a nice touch! We certainly enjoyed the fresh blueberries from Leslie's garden. We will definitely rebook when we return to the area! Thank you!

Perfect for a family

  • 5 of 5

Bob and Leslie greeted us when we arrived and made us feel comfortable and "at home." They even had a fruit bowl and wine! They provided much useful information for sight-seeing and getting around. Their home was stocked full of ANYTHING we needed for our trip, but this home would also be perfect to just get away and relax. Leslie has made sure that any item needed to be comfortable is provided. It was amazingly clean (and I have HIGH standards), and the listing was accurate. It ended up being a bit farther from the sight-seeing we had planned, but it's very close to the highway and ferry's. We highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful place that is central to Olympic National Park

  • 5 of 5

Staying at Eagle's Landing was like visiting a dear aunt and uncle.

When we got there Leslie was there to greet us and show us around. She made sure we knew where everything we needed was and had a binder will invaluable information that someone who had never been to Sequim would need... near by restaurants, grocery stores, etc.

The house was clean and had everything our family needed. Comfortable beds, washer and dryer, and a kitchen with what we needed to prepare breakfast and dinner.

Overall our stay was short and comfortable. We will definitely return to Eagle's Landing the next time we come back to Olympic National Park.

Thank you Bob and Leslie.
