Great location and wonderful host!
This place easily and comfortably housed 7 people for a weekend (Swarthmore reunion). Home was comfortable, clean and close to grocery stores and restaurants. Easy access to Baltimore Pike and 76.
Very spacious, comfortable and quiet
We were an extended family group (all adults) convened from five states and both coasts to attend a Swarthmore College commencement and celebrate the graduate. The house was very convenient to Media village (restaurants, cafes, liquor store, etc.), Swarthmore and the train (Elwyn stop is nearest), and not far from the Philly airport, either. Location was very private, house backs up onto an undeveloped area with lots of rabbits, birds and deer. We didn't end up using the back deck because it was either too hot and humid (Sat.) or raining (Sun.) but the house is plenty spacious for sleeping, food preparation, socializing and relaxing. The air conditioning was most welcome! Ordered food and cake from nearby Wayside Market to feed a small crowd (12 people) and were very pleased with the quality, and prices were reasonable. The home owner was very accessible via text to answer questions while we were there.
Beautiful home in peaceful setting
We had a wonderful stay here. The house is great, and you feel like you’re out in the country even though you are a few minutes from shopping and restaurants in Media and close to the train station in Elwyn that connects to Philadelphia. Our host communicated clearly and was super easy to deal with. We had 6 people with us during our stay and there was plenty of space for everyone. Our host left us a nice welcome basket of snacks (more than we could finish!) and there were fresh flowers throughout the house. The house had lots of nice little touches and was a relaxing respite for me and my family. We’ll be sure to stay here again!
Wonderful family Christmas in this lovely home
Our multigenerational group stayed here for a week and could not have had a better experience.
Our host was extremely helpful and welcoming; before, after and during our stay.
The house itself was very comfortable, well decorated and equipped. We happened to stay over Christmas, and we arrived to the lovely surprise of the house fully decorated for the holidays! A few in the group are choosy about their beds/mattresses, and they slept wonderfully. We were also really happy with the general soundproofing of the house, no small thing for a group which included a baby and jet-lagged toddlers up for the day at 3am!
Location was also great - every amenity nearby, easy access to center city Philadelphia, close to the airport.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
Excellent stay for family & friends!
I recently stayed at Michelle's with a group of friends and family. We had 6 adults and a few kids and the place worked out great. It was extremely clean and neat and yet homey and welcoming. Modern amenities in the kitchen, bathrooms and throughout made it easy for everyone. The kitchen, living room and dining room were all nice spots to gather.
It was also a good location; easy enough for us to get to Philadelphia for the day but we were in a relaxing suburban neighborhood.
Beautiful property in a tucked-away, leafy suburban location. The house itself is lovely: spacious, immaculate and well-appointed. It was perfect for our family, who traveled from afar for a graduation. The location was ideal for us as my sister has a home nearby in the same town, which made it easy for us to gather as a group. Michelle was an excellent host. She was communicative, friendly and made sure we had what we needed. On our arrival, we were delighted to find a generous basket of goodies awaited us in the kitchen. The town of Media has lots to recommend it, as well. There are lots of good local restaurants and for those who want to travel into Philadelphia, there are two train stations that make it easy to get there. I'd recommend this property to friends and family, without hesitation, and hope to stay here again sometime myself.
