It is located among many Amish farms, and tucked away on a rural township road. It gives you the opportunity to rest and relax in the country, and leave your worries behind.
On the estate you will fall in love with the beauty and splendor of the countryside. The lodging consists of an A-frame built in 1982. Our names are Scott & Betsy Meyer. We have owned Silver Pines since 2002. We bought it for a place to get away, and wanted to offer it to other people to enjoy it as much as we do.
Scott Meyer purchased this cabin in 2002
We love the area. It is so peaceful, and the country side is breathtaking.
No major traffic congestion, just the occasional clip clop of an Amish buggy. All the amenities of home, but not the worries.
This is the 3rd year I have stayed at this property with two friends during our annual Amish country girl's weekend. The house is situated in a serene and quiet setting...absolutely wonderful! It is comfortable and clean with the basics needed for a girl's weekend. Close to Amish country shopping and eating but it is quite a ways up and down a gravel, winding road so just be aware. Kitchen is outfitted for basic cooking...nothing fancy. Rental process is quick and efficient. Already planning our return next year!
Hi Scott and Betsy,
Four Kandel Siblings and 4 Spouses enjoyed a wonderful, tranquil weekend among the SILVER PINES and nature. The trails to the pond were fun and relaxing, all the flowers around the pond were so picturesque, the breeze made it very comfortable as some strolled around as others did some fishing before we hiked back up the trails. We even enjoyed checking out the little trailer that is set among the weeds...lol.
The cabin was very clean, comfortable and ample room for us. Love how the cabin is decorated and furnished. Everything we needed was there.
The deck is a great place for meals and just relaxing as is the patio and swing..in the evening we sat for a long time around the fire enjoying all of nature as it serenaded us. The view is beautiful with all the flowers and landscaping. Had many birds and several squirrels we enjoyed watching. Inside we had fun playing games, watching TV and just having fun being together as a family. The AC was great and greatly appreciated although it was chilly in the mornings outside...just perfect to enjoy a big mug of freshly brewed coffee on the deck while the morning was waking up. Invigorating!!
We stayed at the cabin all the time except for Saturday Dinner in Baltic at Miller's Dutch Kitchen. They have delicious meals and is about 20 minutes from SILVER PINES. The rates for the cabin are very reasonable and we recommend SILVER PINES for a stay. Thank you for offering such a cute, private hide-away for families to recharge, relax and prepare ourselves for our busy lives.
We wish you well as you offer a pretty, relaxing place....SILVER PINES.... to get away from 'it' all. We took many pics and will post them on Facebook soon.
Thank you again and God Bless You!!

We have stayed at this house a number of times. We love to come home to it after spending the day exploring in Amish country. The house is well equipped and clean. The owner is very responsive. Thanks for another great get away!
Fun time with family and friends. Land was extra special. Walking trails and fishing was great. Thank you.
As said gorgeous location house has beautiful views driveway is tough with full size vehicle requiring backing in our out. Some items I noticed. Downstairs bath spigot loose. Some floodlights out. Coffee maker not dispensing someone put coffee in the water side. Drained it and it worked. The steps going downstairs are slippery in socks. The great room in basement would be better with a larger TV hooked to the satellite especially for people renting in the winter when outdoor activities are less likely. No ground fault interrupters at any sink location I would think they maybe required on a rental. I have Sprint and had no signal ever on site. OK for me drove my kids and wife crazy. Rented a cabin in Deep Creek Md. which had a WiFi hotspot, As a renter I would be willing to pay for this feature. Upper deck sways slightly when loaded. We visited Charm, Sugar Creek, Millersburg and Berlin. The pond was a great hit with daughter but the climb out is tough. A map of the property would be nice so as to know if you are hiking on your property. All in all nicely done and I would consider renting again. BTW saw you live in Cuyahoga Falls, my oldest son lives there near Lake Marian, great little town,
