Lanier Laptime, Unconventional Lakefront Living, Dock, Kayaks, Kamado grill

Bedrooms 4
Space 2,600 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

Large House With Privacy, Own Dock and partydeck at the end of a cove location.

Lanier Laptime is your gateway to "laketime".

This house will accommodate small or large groups in two full stories and long sleeping loft. Large windows opens up to the nature and the lake. There are two long decks along the house where to sit and enjoy. Two bedrooms are on the first level, along with large kitchen and a bathroom with shower. The dining area has 10' long table, bar table and a sofa for admiring the view from giant window. You can enjoy the fireplace with gas logs and watch TV from 60' smart TV with family members and friends. In addition you can utilize the bluray player, Roku and internet radio.

Going up steel spiral staircase you will find the Master Bedroom with 20' tall window, wood burning fireplace with gas starter and room to let worries float away. Master bathroom has jacuzzi, shower and his/hers sinks. Living room has sofa and surround sound system with another 60' smart TV, including a Netflix and other internet videos. Naturally there is Bluray player and Roku here as well. On second level there are two sliding glass doors to outside deck facing the water.

Going up another set of spiral staircase you will find long loft area with queen bed and place for kids to play - spread out. It has three windows towards the lake and couple of seats for reading and relaxing.

This property has it's own dock with party deck and there are four kayaks available for renters to use. The cove is away from open waters and fast boats, so it is a good area to experience lake kayaking. Life vests and paddles are also included.

You can bring your own boat to the house, closest public ramp is about a mile away. Please note the water levels, the bottom of the cove is at 1065', so if current lake level is close to that, please check the draft of your watercraft.

There is a portable cowboy-style firepit and eight stackable chairs if you'd like to roast marshmellows or prepare food by the lake in the evening. The easy path from house to shore is lit with LED lights and the area is neat and mowed.

The recently renovated 28x24 dock with furnished partydeck includes sunshade, dining set seating 6, charcoal grill, zero gravity lounge etc for spending time on the lake. You can bring your own boat or jet skis and launch it from public park mile and a half away, or rent those from either of marinas closeby.

Why Heikki Rinta-Koski chose Gainesville

We fell in love with unconventional style and good quality materials of this house. The space may be larger than we need, but it has also benefit being able to entertain larger group of friends.

What makes this house unique

The views to the lake are great, and they can be enjoyed from multiple rooms and areas. The cabin is secluded, quiet neighborhood where you can hear rooster while sipping morning coffee outside on the deck. Convenient to groceries and even outlet shopping makes lake weekends trouble free, we can do spur of the moment meals and snacks. Location allows shorter visits from home without issues.

Great Thanksgiving week with our family!

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing week with our family from the East Coast. This house worked perfect for our family, the older Grandparents were able to stay on the ground floor with no need to climb the stairs. The remaining family upstairs did share the upstairs bathroom that had curtains instead of a door. We look forward to staying here during the summer sometime & take advantage of the lake activities.

Good time had by all.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our week long stay at this property. We did a lot of kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. It was great not to have to go off-site to rent the boats. The house had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space for two families. There is a pristine public beach and picnic area just a short distance away and lots of hiking trails nearby. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation on the water, this place is perfect.

Perkiomenville, PA

Great vacation; Great location; Great outdoors! Would stay here again as well as recommend to friend

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the house, lake and surrounding parks. We stayed for a week and drove down from PA. We arrived very late Sunday night and were pleased with the private cove and also noticing that neighbors were true residents of the community. Our kids were so excited to select where they would sleep. They were even more impressed that there were two living rooms. My husband and I claimed the downstairs for watching the Olympics while the kids enjoyed the second floor living room. We planned our meals and cooked all week long and enjoyed the second floor deck/ grill out at the boat dock. We hiked to Blood Mountain, Anna Ruby Falls and Heikki suggested Tallulah Falls which was so beautiful! We also went zip lining in Whitesburg, GA at Banning Mills. We also contacted the one marina just down the street that Heikki had listed and spent a day tubing with the kids. Having access to the kayaks as well as the paddle board was also great and the kids explored the cove even on their own. We were already informed that the water was low but we did not let that discourage us. We swam off the dock during the day and did night fishing with the kids. Even hooked into a 27 inch blue catfish! We also enjoyed local wild life from the dock; doe with twin babies just on the other side of cove. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your home and all of the info you supplied prior.

This place was great! Would go again in a heart beat!

  • 5 of 5

It was a great place to stay. We had enough room for everyone and were able to enjoy just sitting on the dock! The lake was the perfect temperature and we had a great time on the kayaks and the paddle board. It was very clean when we got there and had enough supplies for everyone for that weekend. We didn't go anywhere outside of the property because we were having a great time just relaxing on the dock. It was very easy to find. I put the address in my phone and it took us directly to the house. I only had a few concerns. The wooden stair well is kind of wobbly and then the room at the top of that stair well was really warm all the time. Other than that this was a great place to hang out with friends and family!
