A wonderful space, close to the capitol and neighborhood attractions

  • 5 of 5

This is a well maintained row house in a great neighborhood. Everything was freshly cleaned and stocked before our arrival. The nearby area is developing with exciting bars and restaurants within walking distance. The well outfitted kitchen was a great resource, especially with a grocery store only two blocks away! The owner's instructions were clear and reasonable, and made several useful articles such as a grocery cart and umbrella available during our stay.

The accommodation is a great deal, especially given the area and proximity to the capitol. I would happily stay here again!

Beautiful townhouse in DC

  • 5 of 5

We've rented about a dozen places throughout the US - and this townhouse was beautiful. Everything we needed was provided - plus extra stuff in the kitchen. One toilet handle broke while we were there - and it was fixed that same day. Not to say that things were breaking - because everything worked just fine - just a normal house maintenance issue that was addressed promptly. The house was clean and really well decorated so it felt like an upscale home. It was a short block from a good grocery (Giant) so we ate many meals at the house - most on the nice back deck. I really enjoyed having a deck for some quiet time at the end of the day. The house was about 4 blocks from Union Station which took us anywhere we wanted to go on the Metro (or train, bus, taxi, or tour buses) - plus the food options at Union Station were large for a quick bite. The street was tree lined - which was unusual from the nearby streets - and was so peaceful to walk down. I felt safe walking down to the grocery after dark. People were out walking dogs from early morning to late evening.

Historic Townhouse Walking Distance to The Capital

  • 5 of 5

We (husband daughter & myself) rented this 2 bed 2 1/2 bath home for four nights. We were visiting our son who recently relocated. We were very comfortable throughout our stay. Our hosts thought of many details to help make our stay excellent. The written out directions in the hall, the history, ease of the front door lock box, well designed kitchen, good comfy beds and bedding, lovely bath rooms off the bedrooms, much nicer and straight forward then a hotel & this location is a great neighborhood.

This is a special home extremely clean & meticulously maintained with art work, antiques, unusual lighting , great working kitchen and a small outside space. June in DC is hot. It remained quite comfortable with central air. There are skylights throughtout which makes for lovely lit places. Lots of comfortable nooks with sofas and chairs to read and have conversations.

Thank you Mark for being a wonderful host. We appreciated all the design elements. We loved our stay. Thank you for making us feel at home.

All you need, good property, location excellent

  • 4 of 5

Spring break in DC with all the benefits of home. All went very smoothly with this property from arrival to departure for our family of four. Had all we needed in the kitchen, TV room, bedrooms, with washer and dryer. Very safe neighborhood with great proximity to where we wanted to go by foot , cab, train, bus, metro. Got a little noisy next door on a beautiful Friday night, but quiet by 11 pm. Grocery shopping a block away for anything we needed. Thank you for a great stay.

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

This property is very nice. Extremely clean and well maintained. We use VRBO a lot and have to say this was one of our best experiences. It has two good size bedrooms and each has its own bath on the upper floor. A nice sitting area on the second floor as well. The location is great. Only 3-4 blocks from Union Station that has many places to eat and lots of shopping. Take the metro anywhere you want to go in the city. The neighborhood is very nice and safe to walk at night even with the kids. There is a small super market down the street and a number of restuarants to choose from. We always felt safe and there were always people out walking around even after dark. I would highly recommend this property and plan to stay here again on our next trip to DC.

Exceeded All Expectations!!

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I traveled to DC (first time for us), and we wanted to stay someplace other than a hotel. This house was perfect for us in every aspect. We immediately felt right at home! The house is close to everything you need for a sightseeing tour of the city. The hosts have really outdone themselves with this house-so comfortable and wonderfully decorated. We exhausted ourselves daily with sightseeing, and it was awesome to come home each evening to this property. The kitchen has EVERYTHING that guests would want for eating in; in fact, we could not believe how well stocked the kitchen was, right down to the coffee filters and welcome beverages. We spent 7 nights in this lovely home and wanted for nothing. This rental definitely set the bar really high for my future vacation rentals.
