Relaxing stay

  • 4 of 5

Great property. Too many notes and instructions to follow.

Did not know when booking, that they do not allow you to eat meat, eggs, or fish on the property or in the kitchen.

The manager, Judith was a great help and asset to the landlords.

Beautiful gardens and close to everything needed. Not far from Jerome, Sadonna, Flagstaff, or Phoenix. A good alternative to staying in Sadonna.

Very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Top notch, highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

This lovely property is exactly as advertised. The beautiful Zen garden adds a charm that enhances the experience of staying at a rental by owners, both my wife and I enjoyed peaceful moments as we explored the many features of the garden, which hosts a wide variety of birds, which we both like watching.

There are accommodations appealing to all budgets and tastes, as well as a unique outdoor shower and bath house.

Serenity and tranquility at it’s finest.

As pictured, with a nettlesome twist

  • 2 of 5

To preface this review, I'm not one to make a scene or much of a fuss at all about anything minuscule. In-fact this is the first review I've composed in years. I typically find myself being more critical of those that write bad reviews, because most people are inept and don't come equipped with much common sense.

Pros - The property itself was gorgeous and everything was exactly as depicted. The two owners my fiance and I met upon arrival were super friendly and inviting. If it turns out the villain in this story was just another guest and not an actual employee this review would have my five star blessing all day long.

Con - Singular, because there was only one and the reason I deemed sitting down to concoct this worthy of my time. There was another lady who was staying in an adjacent room. She left us two handwritten notes signed "management" (whether she was actually management or not is still a mystery to this day), and also interrupted me while sleeping on two separate occasions with each occurrence requesting I turn off the AC & fans which were controlled by a central thermostat located in our room. I would pony up and admit if I had been in the wrong, but there were notes in the room asking to be mindful of the thermostat and other residents, which I adhered to. Each day in the early evening I shut off the AC and fan the thermostat controlled. So there we were after a long day traveling about, with a fresh shower behind us and our sights set on catching some Z's in the very comfortable bed that many others have raved about in previous reviews. All of the sudden I hear a rap on the sliding porch door. Thinking that a bit odd, as most visitors would approach a front door I pulled the blinds aside to reveal a tiny lady in her late twenties to early thrities requesting, you guessed it, for us to turn off the AC and fan because she was cold. I assured her everything was off and even double checked after she departed just to make sure. So off to bed I went and dozed off in a matter of minuets only to be awoken with a knock, now at the front door. I have no mind reading capabilities that I'm aware of, and you may not either, but as you could presume, there she was again asking the same question. This time she came in and checked for herself which I allowed her to do. The next night she interrupted me at 10:30 p.m. This night I was not so kind and gave her a piece of my mind. I don't regret it because it beat the alternative of drop kicking her.

Comfortable and Centrally Located

  • 4 of 5

Plus:

+Located in Cottonwood, mid-distance between Sedona and Jerome, which were our destinations. Cottonwood has a Wal-Mart, grocery stores, restaurants, everything you need for a multi-day stay.

+Full kitchen. Again, since we stayed multiple days, this was really nice. We found everything we needed to make a few of our meals right there.

+Beautiful grounds. The garden in the back is beautiful and everything is well kept.

Minus:

-Really the only reason for giving only 4 stars was the bed. It is king size but is really two twins put together so you feel the seem. It's not so bad but the bed could be helped by a memory foam topper or something to make it a bit more comfortable.
