About the property

Garden setting, private studio, close to the UO, Whiteaker, and Downtown

Beautifully designed modern studio, tastefully adorned with swanky and timeless décor. Set within a garden, French doors open onto a deck with a gorgeous view and a forest-like setting. Among a lush and colorful garden, the studio provides a private and quiet retreat.

Star Studio is truly a magical space, a gem for those interested in quiet settings, romantic getaways, work space or a place to retreat. Well-designed for efficiency and comfort, the Studio is an experience in small home living!

Newly designed and furnished to offer comfort and style, Star Studio features tall ceilings, natural light, marmoleum flooring, a temperapetic queen bed, a dining table, digital TV, writing desk, a full kitchenette, a spacious bathroom, and a deck. The windows at ceiling height provide a scene of the evening sky, moon and stars- a magical view of the moon and stars on a clear evening!

Open the French doors to enjoy the forest-like setting and garden view from the deck of the Studio. Guests are encouraged to help themselves to blueberries, strawberries, lettuces, kales, peppers and fresh herbs such as cilantro, parsley, oregano and basil all located in the raised garden beds beyond the deck of the Studio (spring & summer months).

A queen size, 11-inch memory foam mattress dressed with luxury linens provides maximum comfort for a good nights rest. The bed is the newest design for efficient small home living, with a bed that can easily be converted into a sofa to create an area for reading or relaxing during the day.

A full kitchenette provides everything one needs to prepare or heat meals, including a side by side freezer-refrigerator, a convection oven, an induction 2-burner cooktop, and a coffee & tea making station. Coffee beans, teas and spices are available for guests. A digital screen TV is available with a ROKU system and Netflix account for streaming news or movies. There is also a HDMI cord one can use to stream media from a iPhone, iPad or laptop. The angled-shower and heated ceiling fan make for a spacious and comfortable shower in this small dwelling.

There is a rental home on the property with complete privacy between the home and studio. If you are looking to host family or friends for a special event or holiday, both the house and studio may be rented together. Together, the house and studio are comfortable for up to 8 people. House and Studio guests are asked to respect quiet hours to ensure a peaceful setting is enjoyed by both parties.

Located in a private garden, Star Studio is a peaceful retreat-like setting while being located close to downtown Eugene, the UofO, Whiteaker neighborhood and the Willamette River. My goal is to make your visit to Eugene an enjoyable one, providing you with a restful, fresh and secure home away from home.

I now spend my time creating spaces to offer people a quality lodging experience with space, material and color. I hope you enjoy one of the spaces I have created with the traveler in mind.

Why Eve chose Eugene

The moment I walked in to this house, I loved it and could see the potential to create a beautiful home for vacationers, and thus the creation of Jackson Star began! The craftsmanship is quality and it is obvious the house has been well-cared for over the years. I loved the floorplan on the main level and the loft is truly dreamy on a clear evening with stars and the moon visible from the bedroom window in the loft.

The Star Studio behind the house has a gorgeous view of the trees and flowers that characterize the neighborhood. This has become a lush garden space worth spending time in and perfect for relaxing. The neighborhood. Serene. Beautiful. Peaceful. Great neighbors!

What makes this studio unique

Close to the Whiteaker neighborhood, Willamette River, central downtown Eugene and the University of Oregon.

Perfect Studio

  • 5 of 5

My spouse and I were lucky enough to stay in Eve's Jackson Star home in April 2017. I needed to return to Eugene this month for a short trip and remembered the studio Eve had on this same property. It was PERFECT! This studio had everything I needed for my three day trip. Eve was so accommodating and was sensitive to the fact that I was arriving late at night. The studio is well stocked, has a great fridge, french press , toaster oven and so much more. Even though it sits toward the back of the main house, it has it's own private entrance and I never heard the family staying there during my stay. Whiteaker is a great neighborhood with many excellent restaurants within walking distance. I couldn't help but return to Sarver winery one afternoon as the drive to the country is only 15 minutes from town and offers excellent wines and gorgeous views. Thanks for everything, Eve! We'll be back!

Great location & a very clean, comfortable stay

  • 4 of 5

This was our first stay in a studio so we took a while to adapt to tiny house living but were impressed at how well the place was designed. We really loved the location and regretted not walking the neighborhood more once we got out. The garden was a great bonus. Everything we needed for the 2 of us was provided and it all worked very well. Eve is an excellent host and is well backed up when she is not available. Our few issues were quickly handled.

This would be an easy 5 star review except we found the comfortable bed a little challenging for us older folks with one of us consigned to the inside. We also found entertaining a local couple a little difficult when trying to seat 4 in a place superbly designed for two.

That problem was usually resolved by going out or borrowing chairs to seat 4 outside when the adjacent unit was unoccupied or by visiting one of the easily walkable restaurants or bakeries.

We did very little cooking but found the induction cooktop easy to use and cleverly concealed. With restaurants like the Fisherman's Market, Board, Laughing Planet Cafe, Sweet Life Patisserie, Moma Myra and so many more an easy walk or short drive, the real problem is too much choice and too little time. Don't miss the Saturday Market or the Rose Garden which was in fabulous bloom during our visit. Eugene has much to offer.

If you are a couple ready to try a studio, you probably cannot do better than this one in Eugene. We hope to be back.

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure hosting you two, and I look forward to hosting you again in the future. The Studio is designed for two people, and I am glad you were able to host a few friends for an evening. Guests are welcome to contact me to arrange for additional chairs when they intend to host a friend.

Cute cozy condo!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was great. Eve is a great host. She was very understanding when me and my husband accidentally took the condo keys when we left and had to mail them back. The condo is super cute. We had trouble finding it. You just walk down the alley way and the door is to your right after the bushes. Her condo is within walking distance of some great places to eat. Would definitely stay here again.

Quiet, peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5

The modern garden oasis was a wonderful base camp for my 5 day watercolor painting workshop. It is conveniently located near the heart of Eugene but very quiet and peaceful. Several great restaurants are within walking distance. Eve is very attentive and aims to please. Highly recommended.

Modern dream in downtown Eugene

  • 5 of 5

Stayed in Eugene for a conference at the Hilton. The studio was ideally located to the Hult Performing Arts Center and the downtown area. It was beautifully decorated, comfy and clean. The owner responded promptly and made everything incredibly easy. I highly recommend this rental!
