About Nancy's Vacation Rentals
My husband and I live in the mountains NE of San Diego. We like to Scuba dive, ride bikes and hike in the mountains near our home and also walk and ride bikes down by the bay and ocean.
Nancy's Vacation Rentals purchased this Apartment in 1993
Why Nancy's Vacation Rentals chose North Pacific Beach
My 4-plex was a yearly-leased rental and I converted it to vacation rentals because people kept asking me if I had anything less expensive than the rentals right on the ocean or bay. I kept seeing people parking in front of my building, getting their beach equipment out of the car and walking to the beach. Obviously it is not too far from the beach (4 blocks) for a vacation rental and offers a lower cost alternative for young families and anyone vacationing on a budget.
What makes this Apartment unique
Riding bikes on the boardwalk. Walking with my toes in the wet sand and watching the sunset on the ocean horizon and perhaps catching a glimpse of the green flash on cloudless nights.

Close to the beach, but....
We were really excited for our stay here but there were many things that fell short. We arrived on a rain day and all the power was off. We could not open the garage or get the lights to kick on and took us a while to locate the breaker (in the laundry room by the way). Because of the rain, we had water dripping from the ceiling in the master bedroom onto the hardwood floor, luckily it missed the bed. 2 days into our stay the fridge died. Nancy tried to be accommodating and brought in a mini fridge that also did not work for us. Sigh... It can get really warm in the unit and we used as many fans as possible to move some air but they were subpar for the job. The other issue we had was that our garage was shared with another unit and although there are boogie boards and bikes to share, we had some of our stuff taken by the other occupants thinking they were communal. This was more my fault for not keeping our stuff in our unit. I would not trust leaving any personal stuff in the garage. Lastly, parking can be tricky. The garage can not fit a large vehicle but only smaller sedans.
On the flip side, the rate was the draw. Groceries were around the corner which is great if the fridge is working. We also walked a few blocks to the beach. The beach is great. I found it clean and not too overrun with homeless. It does get a little noisy at night at the unit but that did not bother us soo much. We enjoyed the use of the beach cruisers but the boogie boards were pretty dated and in bad condition to the point it makes sense to bring your own.
Although Nancy was very quick to answer calls and tried to accommodate us on the fridge (even bought a new boogie board for us to use)... unfortunately, I won't be returning.
