Mum & Dad, joined forces with eldest son (& family) and middle son to buy the 2 apartments at Vila Bovec.
We bought the apartments back in 2010, shortly after the Vila Bovec development was completed. We had fallen in love with Bovec village during previous holidays to the area, and we decided to buy the two apartments primarily because of the perfect location, a stones throw from the village centre, but with incredible views of the valley and mountains. We all visit the area several times a year - to trek, climb, cycle, ski, explore, eat, drink, rest etc.....Bovec is also a mecca for watersports enthusiasts, with the soca river close by
We visited the apartment in late summer as a group of four. It was very clean, stylishly furnished, comfortable and well equipped for a party of four. We enjoyed breakfasting at the table on the large balcony which has a wonderful view of the local mountains, sometimes clear and sunny, sometimes shrouded in mist or low clouds. The local shops were very handy with a mini supermarket next door and a greengrocer a few doors away. The cafes and restaurants all served good food at reasonable prices – we particularly enjoyed evening meals in the restaurant just opposite the apartment.
We used the car very little in Bovec as there were lots of interesting walks in the area, passing by rivers and lakes and through small villages. We loved walking by the Soca river which was beautiful, with clear blue water, and found a good cafe in Cezsoca for a welcome snack along the way. We had an interesting forest walk near Pluzna passing a small lake.
It was altogether a very good holiday in a beautiful part of the world – we would definitely use the apartment again and would highly recommend it as a great base for exploring the area.

This is a fantastic apartment in a great location! The balcony was a fantastic asset and was like an extra room - breakfast outside every morning! We stayed with 3 kids (aged 6,4 and 7months) and the apartment was perfect for us - having washing facilities was so useful! The apartment was in a great central location and we were able to walk everywhere. We went rafting with the older kids which we would highly reccomend, as well as Ziplining, again excellent. As the kids are so small we didn't do many big hikes, but I went running most mornings from the apartment following tourist informations suggestions and managed to see a lot of the area and wildlife that way. We would love to come back when the cable car is working to get up to the top of the stunning alps. Overall we totally enjoyed our stay here. Slovenia is an unexpected gem of a country! the people are friend,y the service excellent, and the apartment was a wonderful base from which to explore! A wonderful week!!
The perfect base for a relaxing or advenutre holiday. We hired two apartments and stayed with family and friends. for a week at the start of October.
The apartments are ideally situated for local shops, bars and restaurants, the scenery is exceptional and there are a long list of activities to hand. Mountain biking, trail running, kayaking, rock-climbing, abseiling or simply walking / hiking are all organised / available literally from the front door.
Both apartments are clean, well finished, equipped with everything you need and the beds are new (and comfortable).
The best recommendation I can give is that we're going back in January for a ski-trip.
Situated adjacent to the local supermarket and within walking distance of all shops, bars and restaurants these apartments provided the ideal group or family getaway.
Clean, spacious and fully equipped the apartments have everything you need to sit back and relax after an exhausting day out in the fresh alpine air.
Having visited both in the winter and the spring i can highly recommend these Bovec apartments to all looking for a perfect, relaxing break.

Walking/Trekking paths throughout this part of Slovenia are well established and well marked. The Bovec area is interwoven with mountain tracks, trails and roads; a paradise for mountain biking. Numerous biking trails, which as a rule lead across the most beautiful spots of the Bovec area, offer pleasant experiences to both recreational and mountain bikers. Recreational bikers will be carried away by easy, joyfully organised trails with minor elevation changes, while the more experienced will be fascinated by the diverse terrain trails leading through shady forests and nearby rivers and streams. The terrain is steep and the views over the Triglav National Park are beautiful. You can also drive down the valley and take the car/passenger train through the Triglav mountain range to Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled. The train journey takes 45minutes and is an incredible experience in itself.
