The two modern, bright and spacious self-catering apartments are located in the heart of the village of Bovec, at the foot of Mt Kanin, Mt Rombon, Mt Mangart and at the gateway to the Julian Alps. The apartments which together sleep up to 10 people are comprehensively furnished to a very high standard & offer stunning views across the Triglav National Park. A compact mountain resort, Bovec has a great range of welcoming cafes, bars and restaurants all within 5 minutes walk from the accommodation. You will also find a grocery shop, a bakery, fruit stall and a Gelaterie all within 1 minute walk from your front door. Whether you want to be lively and energetic or just take things easy and relax, Vila Bovec caters for all age groups. The apartments provide a quiet and peaceful place to rest, whilst you have the facilities and energy of Bovec village right on your doorstep. Both apartments come with towels and bedding, as well as all of the kitchen/bathroom utensils/facilities you would expect from a self catered apartment. Each apartment also comes with its own large secure storage room on the ground floor – these are great for storing all kinds of sporting equipment including skis, snowboards, bikes, watersports equipment etc...

The newly constructed 67sq.m. apartment offers three large bedrooms, all tastefully furnished. The living area and 2 bedrooms on level 1 have very high ceilings throughout creating a spacious feel. The 3rd bedroom is upstairs from the main living area. There is a large double bed in the master bedroom and the upstairs gallery room, with twin beds in the other double bedroom. There is a double sofa, along with 2 dinner tables (with 8 seats) in the living area. Wardrobes, Drawers in each room provide plenty of storage space for each guest. The apartment offers a modern fully fitted kitchen, washing machine, iron & board.

The newly constructed apartment offers two bedrooms, both tastefully furnished. There is a double bed in the master bedroom, with twin beds in the second double bedroom. The apartment is very bright and spacious with high ceilings throughout. Leading from the living area is a magnificent 29 sq.m. balcony with long wooden table and chairs that looks out towards stunning scenery in the Triglav National Park and Soca Valley.

Why Justin Moody chose Slovenia

We bought the apartments back in 2010, shortly after the Vila Bovec development was completed. We had fallen in love with Bovec village during previous holidays to the area, and we decided to buy the two apartments primarily because of the perfect location, a stones throw from the village centre, but with incredible views of the valley and mountains. We all visit the area several times a year - to trek, climb, cycle, ski, explore, eat, drink, rest etc.....Bovec is also a mecca for watersports enthusiasts, with the soca river close by

We spent a week at this apartment, it was clean, spacious and in a great location. Well furnished and equipped

The information prior to our holiday was informative and helpful.

Details of where to collect the key, timing and location map was perfect.

Bovec and the area is beautiful, with lots of activities and lovely walks.

We were all very sad to leave, but look forward to returning soon.

Excellent accommodation

We had a wonderful week in Bovec. The apartment was perfect for us although I would have to say it was very noisy first thing in the morning and last thing at night, however it was great to be so close to the town, supermarket and activity centres. The balcony was perfect and great for family meals and card games in the evening.

We ziplined, went caving, rode horses, canyoned, went white water rafting and walked and explored the surrounding area. We loved Slovenia and would love to go back as a week was just not long enough.

Thank you for introducing us to such a beautiful country.

A great property right in the centre of town

Stayed 1 week - The apartment is right in town above a bar (not noisy). This meant that we did not really need the car as there is loads to do right in town. The apartment is clean and well appointed, communication with the owner was good and I would recommend this property. Bovec is great for outdoor activities. We did the rafting, canyoning, kayaking and zipwires along with bike hire and walking. We were a familly of 4 with a 10 year old and 12 year old.

If want to get up high - check the ski lift is working before arriving - They are redeveloping it - due to open soon but it has been closed for 2 years

Nice place, nice people, good customer service.

Advantages: Very nice town, with very friendly people. Petrol prices are lower than in Italy. Supermarket is really nearby. Good customer service.

Disadvantages: We need to clean the apartment when we arrived. In the upper apartment (11) in winter time is very cold especially in the bedrooms when it is windy. We used sleeping bags. I think that something should be done with the roof - the total reconstruction as when it was windy you can feel the wind blowing even in the room. The lift to the mountain is not working in Bovec, so you need to use a car and it takes 35 min to get to nearest Italian resort - so prepare to spend additional 100 eur per week on petrol.

I would recommend apartment #3 for winter holidays.

In total my mark is 7,5 out of 10.

Wonderful Bovec apartment!

We had nearly a week to explore the Bovec area and enjoyed being able to come "home" to our clean, comfortable, and friendly apartment. Justin is very friendly and easy to work with in arranging details, plus gave us a great deal on a coffee maker we accidentally broke. The beds were comfortable, not too hard and not too soft, and there were even a few DVD's and a player we enjoyed one evening. The apartment is right across from a grocery store which was so convenient when we wanted to cook for ourselves after a long day of hiking. It is also close to some wonderful restaurants and local ice cream. We were able to get wifi just down the street and it sounds like SOON there will be wifi in the apartment. Great news! We liked that we could walk down the street and have our pick of any adventure company when it came time to go canyoning...which is awesome...and this area of Slovenia has the bluest/greenest water I've ever seen. There were many activities in this area from the WWI museums to hiking to just sitting and having a coffee at a sidewalk cafe. Best of all were the many friendly people who are not so tired of tourists like some big cities in Europe. We would highly recommend this apartment, Justin, and all the wonderful things Slovenia has to offer. Deb & Tim. Lake Elmo, MN

Bovec Apartments

Stayed in the upper apartment for a week at the end of May. The apartment was as described on the website and is very spacious and well equipped. It was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. As we were staying with friends, we also had access to the lower apartment which was of the same high standard. The huge balcony is a great place for outdoor dining, relaxing, etc. It has tremendous views over the surrounding mountains. The apartments are situated centrally in the town for dining, shopping, etc. We were there to enjoy all the walks that the area has to offer. Slovenian people are very friendly making our holiday more enjoyable. We would thoroughly recommend staying at these apartments in Bovec.

Bovec is a paradise for nature lovers and the outdoor enthusiast. It is a charming and picturesque village nestled below the Julian Alps in the heart of the beautiful Soca Valley. The mountain range on the western side of the valley represents the Italian border. An alpine centre within Slovenia’s famous Triglav National Park, home to many mountains rising to 2500m. Bovec offers a wide variety of tourist activities throughout the year and has many sports agencies for those that like outdoor pursuits.

Vila Bovec is the perfect base in the heart of this small village. There is a great range of welcoming cafes, bars and restaurants all within 2 minutes walk from the accommodation. Direct flights (including Ryanair, Easyjet, Adria Airlines), run to Trieste (95km) & Venice (175km) in Italy, Klagenfurt (95km, Austria) and Ljubljana (135km, Slovenia)

Winter Sports: Kanin-Sella Nevea ski resort is accessible from Bovec village and is the only resort in Slovenia that extends above 2000m. Kanin is connected to the Italian resort of Sella Nevea, providing a combined 40km of pistes, with an altitude range of 1140-2300m and an excellent snow record the season can last from December until early May. Facilities on the slopes include ski and boot rental, ski school, restaurants and bars. The Cable car to Kanin mountain runs directly from Bovec village. The possibilities for skiing extends over 3 nations, Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The wider ski area includes 7 villages and towns, not all linked by ski runs, but very close to each other so that it is possible to reach any of the ski resorts in short day trips. Tarvisio (Italy) is the nearest larger ski area, 30mins drive from Bovec. Many of the multi day ski passes include access to other local resorts. Each apartment offers its own large secured storage cupboard for ski/boarding equipment on the ground floor. Other winter sports in the valley include, Ice Climbing, Snowshoeing, Mountaineering, Ski Touring and Sledging.

Bovec is the adventure sports capital of Slovenia. In particular Bovec and the Soca River are a mecca for watersports including white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, hydrospeed. Other popular activities run by a number of outdoor agencies in the village include, canyoning, rock climbing, sky diving, paraglyding, trekking. In 2012 Slovenia’s largest zip wire park opened in Bovec – 2.4km long split between 4 wires (soon to be extended).

Go hiking, mountaineering or rock climbing – there is a vast array of walking opportunities to be had, where mighty mountain peaks weave together with sheep and goat pastures criss-crossed with trails, streams, rivers, and waterfalls to make some wonderful scenery. Walking/Trekking paths throughout this part of Slovenia are well established and well marked. The So?a Valley and the Julian Alps offers something for everyone – from easy valley walks and rougher forest trails to multi-day hut to hut walks, and high-mountain protected routes, some of which require Alpine mountaineering experience. There are many climbing opportunities throughout the soca valley, From the 1000m vertical limestone walls above Log Pod Mangratom to the numerous short sport routes. There are plenty of crags, both protected and unprotected at all grades and for all abilities throughout the valley.

The Bovec area is interwoven with mountain tracks, trails and roads; a paradise for mountain biking. Numerous biking trails, which as a rule lead across the most beautiful spots of the Bovec area, offer pleasant experiences to both recreational and mountain bikers. Recreational bikers will be carried away by easy, joyfully organised trails with minor elevation changes, while the more experienced will be fascinated by the diverse terrain trails leading through shady forests and nearby rivers and streams. Downhill-Kanin Mountain Bike Park, open 365 days a year, accessible from the Bovec-Kanin cable car, divided into 3 stages, there is something for both the Novice and the extreme downhill riders. If you prefer the roads then from Bovec there are many options. A day ride from Bovec may take you across the Italian and Austrian borders, past the beautiful lakes of Bohinj and Bled (via the mountain train), down the Soca valley or up the highest mountain pass in Slovenia Vrši? (1611 m) and onto Kranjskja Gora.

Spectacular day trips include driving (or cycling) the high panoramic mountain road that runs from Bovec, through the stunning Trenta Valley and across the Vrsic Pass at 1611m, then down to Kranjska Gora. The terrain is steep and the views over the Triglav National Park are beautiful. You can also drive down the valley and take the car/passenger train through the Triglav mountain range to Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled. The train journey takes 45minutes and is an incredible experience in itself.
