Cozy and clean three bedroom craftsman home on quiet street.

The Space

This is a craftsman style three bedroom, three bathroom house on a quiet street. A big sunny front porch, back deck, and fenced front and back yards provide pleasant and private outdoor spaces. The house is two stories plus a very nicely finished lower level/basement. On the top story, there's a master bedroom and bathroom accessible by the spiral staircase. On the main level, you'll find the living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms is a kids' (or kid at heart) bunkbed room. The other bedroom has one double bed. The full kitchen has modern stainless steel appliances and gas range. The dining room table expands to be truly huge, seating up to 8 if needed. The living room has some cozy lazyboy reclining furniture and a wood burning fireplace. The lower level is accessed by some steep stairs off the kitchen, it contains a queen sleeper sofa, a big screen plasma TV, and a bathroom equipped with washer/dryer. The lower level also has its own exit leading to the backyard. The house and yard are professionally managed so they are impeccably clean and well cared for.

The Neighborhood

Seattle is a city built around neighborhoods. You haven't truly experienced the city without visiting at least one. The Greenwood neighborhood has much in common with the others , while also having its own distinct character. 82nd street is quiet and family friendly. It is walkable to great restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and parks. It is connected by frequent public transit to downtown and the airport.

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ THIS: the house is on a quiet residential street. Big, loud, and/or late night parties will NOT be fun at this house, because the neighbors WILL be upset, they WILL come knocking, and they WILL call the owner and property manager to put a stop to the party. This has happened several times. This situation is seriously NOT FUN for everyone involved, especially the guests at the house and the neighbors. For your own sake and for the sake of your fun-loving friends, PLEASE DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE FOR PARTIES. That said, reasonable, small family gatherings of the quiet and respectful type (you know what we mean) will be no problem.

Getting Around

Green lake park, Woodland Park Zoo, and several smaller "pocket parks" are walkable from the house, as are numerous shops and restaurants. The route #5 bus on Greenwood Avenue goes south to downtown via the Woodland Park Zoo and the Fremont neighborhood. The #48 bus goes west along 85th street to the University of Washington, or east towards Golden Gardens beach. Washington highway 99 (Aurora Ave.) is the best way to get downtown by car. Seattle has convenient light rail service between downtown and the airport. The light rail stops in the downtown bus tunnel underneath Westlake shopping center.

Please remember that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. We travel often and have help managing guest services for our home while we are away.

Perfect house for our group.

We enjoyed the front porch and the back yard. House was spacious....a bedroom and bathroom on all 3 floors.

Very clean and lots of natural light, especially upstairs.

Would certainly return.

large, sweet home in convenient, North Seattle neighborhood.

The property had ALMOST everything we needed. The proprietors should make both an iron and a hairdryer available. Extra towels would be useful too. That said, the home is very nice, sleeps a lot of folks , has lovely plantings, and relaxing porch and deck space. The first floor bedrooms are helpful for travelers with older legs, knees, hips, etc. We might stay here again if we head to Seattle north.

Not a bad location, but had bad Ant problem

When we booked house this was originally put on this site as a 4 bedroom house. Which is why we booked it. When arrived only 3 bedrooms and basement has a sofa bed. Called Pillow about this and never got and response as to why it was posted as and 4 bedroom. The site now has this house as a 3 bedroom. The main level sitting area had a ton of ants when we arrived. Had to go to store to buy ant traps. Called Pillow, said someone would come take care of the ants and the Hobo spider that was in the basement stairwell that went from basement to the backyard. Next day went out and about only to come back and ants and spider still hadn't be taken care of. Had to call Pillow again before someone finally came to take care of them. Then the next night more ants were in the kitchen and all over the kitchen counters. Couldn't take a shower in the bathroom with tub/shower unless you wanted to clean up tons of water. Almost all the door handles to rooms and bathrooms were loose and kept falling off the doors, owners should change them. Wasn't fun having to keep putting them back on every time would turn to open the doors. Finally just kept the door ajar so wouldn't have to turn them. Giving a 2 stars only because the location was good and price range was good. If it wasn't for the ants, spiders, door handle problems, and the original statement of a 4 bedroom and it only being a 3 bedroom, then would have given this a 4 star. Would recommend contacting to make sure ant problem has been taken care of before you book.

Beautiful and cozy stay

Our stay was amazing, great location not too far from the attractions and in a beautiful neighborhood. House clean and spacious for our group of 5. Neighborhood was quiet and neighbors were friendly. I would go back again at a drop of a hat

Great House!

This was such a great house for our family weekend away. Was such a great location with lots of amenities close by and the support and communication from the managers was amazing! Would recommend this location to anyone!

Great home, great location

This property is located in a quiet neighborhood. We were delighted to find parking to be easy - lots of room and always found a spot open right in front of the house.

Some neighborhoods can be a bit noisy, but we found this spot to be quiet.

The home itself has been nicely remodeled and is comfortable.
