Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

After a long day of travel filled with delays and unplanned hiccups, we arrived in Estes Park exhausted and needing a break. As we opened the door to the cabin we immediately felt like it was our new home. We settled in and took a nap! The cabin is just as promised and photographed. The layout is efficient, but still feels roomy enough for a longer stay. The decor is relaxed and place appropriate. The kitchen has everything one needs to cook a meal. The closets have plenty of space and the beds are just like home. We slept well every night and had no problems with the cabin. The heat worked well. During the afternoons, we opened the casement windows and let the fresh air in. The location was right in town so you could walk to town in just 10 minutes if you wanted.

I honestly have nothing negative to say about the experience. It was a home away from home, with everything provided as promised. That is hard to say in this day and age. Trust this owner and rest assured you won't be disappointed if you stay at his property.

Exceptional cabin for mountain stay

  • 5 of 5

Our week stay in this exceptional cabin was better than anticipated. My wife and I have been coming and staying in Estes Park for over thirty years and this cabin's amenities and overall cleanliness far exceeds about any place we've stayed before. Can't think of anything the owner has omitted in providing such a enjoyable stay!

Beautiful Estes Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My family enjoyed everything about this beautiful cabin on the Big Thompson River. We sat watching the river every night while our boys fished and every morning while drinking a cup of coffee. The cabin has a really nice deck and patio furniture to sit outside and grill on. The cabin is very clean and well organzied. It came with soap and paper products, it had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The laundry was an extra bonus to wash our clothes after hiking. There was a very helpful book about different hikes to take as well as recommended places to eat. When we pulled into the driveway we were greeted by 2 female elk! We will definitely stay there again the next time we come back to Colorado.

Perfect for us

  • 4 of 5

This cabin was perfect for our family of four, including two kids. This was our first visit to Estes Park and this cabin is in a nice location near the river but not too close to the craziness of downtown. An added bonus for our kids was all of the surrounding cabins had kids too and they all hit it off well. Our family stayed very active with lots of hiking in RMNP and the location of this cabin was good for that too. Perfect spot for a home base but not a lot to do within close walking distance, but just what we needed.

The cabin was perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the cabin for a week, arriving July 2 and departing on July 9. This was our very first Vrbo rental and if they were all like this, we would do it again in a heartbeat! Let me first start off by telling you that when we walked in, the cabin was immaculate. We rarely stay in a hotel because it grosses me out. There was not one spec of food anywhere, one stain anywhere, etc. Right then and there I felt comfortable.

The kitchen was nice. We did appreciate the basics like salt and pepper, cooking spray, and seasoning for grilling. The only kitchen item we did miss was a pizza pan or cookie sheet for the first night that we brought in a make and take pizza, but we definitely made do.

The bedrooms were great. The master bedroom mattress was actually more comfortable than ours at home. The decor made us feel like we were home. Cracking open the window at night to listen to the river was awesome and it let in some fresh, crisp air! The bunk bed was ideal for families. We didn't hear the complaints of "she's putting her feet on me...".

The living room was just enough space for coming "home" after a long days hike to just chill out for a while. Our kids appreciated the satellite tv to watch a few of their shows before going to bed.

Thank you for having a washing machine and dryer in the unit!! I didn't do much laundry but it was nice for mid-week when we needed a few extra clean items.

We spent a lot of time out on the deck! Loved the composite deck (we have the same at our home). It's so nice to walk out here and not get splinters in your feet. The table and chairs were a wonderful addition that we didn't know about. We ate every dinner out there taking in the wonderful scenery.

We also spent a lot of time down at the river. That's the very first thing the kids wanted to do when we got there was to go fishing. Grant it, we didn't catch anything (could be that we are amateurs) but it was fun trying! One afternoon we just stayed there because we had a very long hike early in the morning. The sun felt so good as we looked through all of the wonderful reading material that's in the cabin about Estes Park. A few drinks and a snack at the river was the perfect afternoon just to recoop from the long hike.

Thank you, Alex, for the wonderful opportunity to stay here! I've already had friends ask where we stayed and I'm happy to pass the information onto them. We would love to come back as a family, too, maybe in a few years. Thanks again!

What a Great Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Cabin was very comfortable and equiped with everything you could possibly need! It is small but everything is sparkling clean and very nicely finished. It has a bold stream right at back of property and is just minutes away from RMNP and Estes Park. We look forward to coming back! Family of 4 very comfortable for 7 days. Alex the property owner is also very accomidating and makes sure you have a good experience
