My husband and our son traveled to Whiteville to visit family over the Thanksgiving holiday. We usually stay in a hotel in either Wilmington or Myrtle Beach as we are pretty picky about where we sleep. However we waste over an hour driving each way. This year we decided to look for something different, and i'm glad we did.
The house was amazing. My son loved seeing the horses, and loved Delilah, he wanted to take her home.
We will most likely be back for Easter and plan on staying at the house again.
My Family loved our stay here! My sister, Brother and I all came together to celebrate my mothers 65th Birthday. We enjoyed spending time together relaxing on the front porch. The resident Pet's are amazing, We fell in love with "Lady Bug" the dog. The house is wonderful with a well equipped kitchen great for family meals. You will not be disappointed at this property. We will definitely stay here again in the future. My mother said that she had the Best Birthday ever! Thanks Penny for Sharing your property with my family!
All I can say is wow. We arrived after a 13 hour drive from CT and everybodys eyes just lit up. The farm was beautiful and the house was gorgeous. Penny was so accomodating. We walked in to see the house baby proofed! We have twin 18month olds and that was a huge weight off our back! The house worked out perfect. Many moments on the deck just staring out. Penny even allowed us to leave a bit later so that the girls would be asleep for the majority of the drive home! We couldn't have had a better trip and are already planning our return.
The home is very tasteful, clean, cozy and comfortable. The images are true to the home. The owner's hospitality is outstanding. I felt at home away from home. This lovely home has a winding road away from the street and sits privately off into the woods. The wrap around porch offers a little touch of nature with the view of horses, ducks, cats and a dog. I didn't have the pleasure to see the chickens. All taken care of by property manager. A very peaceful place to spend time on vacation.
Hello, we chose to stay at this home in Whiteville over the 4th of July holiday. Spent three nights enjoying the lovely home. Secluded just a short drive from Whiteville and not far from Lake Waccamaw. This home sits on several acres and was a great find. The home was nicely set and prepared for us with welcoming notes and helpful tips. The owner (Penny) gave us a call the day of check-in to make sure we were all set! The home had just about everything we needed including heated floors and a few items in the fridge to get us going! We noticed some DVD's on the shelf but didn't see a player, and also realized that the house did not have internet so some of our phone's were roaming for our stay. These things were easy to work around - for my group - as we spent time grilling and playing board games during our stay (when not out around the lake and Whiteville). All in all a great little house tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Penny was very helpful even when we left behind some belongings. We loved this house and we definitely plan to return for another visit.
