Guestbook comments from the owner

Loved being here - sunsets & great bonfires in back yard. Kids played ball & horseshoes - showed the adults how to be kids again.

The owner Carol was delightful & so helpful.

So loved being in your beautiful home. Thank you for all of the special accommodations. The kids loved the downstairs TV!

amazing place and people. cannot wait to come back!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed during last summer. The place is amazing very comfortable and has everything. When accidentally door got locked on us (really - our fault) the owner came very quickly and opened it for us. the house has everything that you need. Been to others where other than the basics, we had to go to the grocery store and get even salt. There are spices, sugar, oil, nothing missing though they do not have to provide. Cannot wait to return

Peaceful and Beautiful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed for a week, the first half by ourselves and the second half with extended family. This home is beautiful, extremely clean, and very comfortably furnished. Beds, towels, linens and kitchen items were all top notch. The outdoor space is just gorgeous with one of the best views of Lake Michigan and breathtaking sunsets from the front porch and massive windows. The woods behind the house are great for viewing deer (we saw them daily) and other wildlife especially from the covered porch with comfy seating, ceiling fans, and outdoor stereo speakers. There were two fire pits with plenty of fire wood provided and ready for the S'mores that the grandkids loved making. We found great beaches in Harbor Springs at Zorn Park and another in Good Hart called Middle Beach with great sand for the kids to play in. We were able to kayak, find great restaurants, and quaint shops in downtown Harbor Springs. The Legs Inn in Cross Village is a must for authentic Polish food. Pond Hill Farm is fun with a café, wine and beer tasting room, and petting zoo for children. Overall, this was a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy a peaceful setting with family! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Perfect Family Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Wow! What a place! Pure joy and excitement as soon as we pulled up! We were so impressed with the house I don't know where to start. First, the house is beautiful on the outside, absolutely magnificent gardens, pathways, fire pits, porches, etc. The inside is just as pretty. Huge, stone fireplace, kitchen with all the amenities, great loft above the garage, I could go on and on. The property was clean as a whistle and I absolutely want to live here forever! Our favorite spot was the front porch. The view of Lake Michigan is excellent. The back porch was great too, we just couldn't pass up looking at the lake, since you don't get a view like that everyday. I was up at 6 a.m. one day(6 month old) and saw a freighter go by with all it's lights on, in the pitch black, it was such a cool sight! My children enjoyed the green grass, fire pits, and basement rec room. The way the owners thought out the whole place is top notch. We can't wait to book a future trip!

Beautiful home and gardens in a spectacular setting

  • 5 of 5

This was a very finely furnished home and not a typical "rental property." From the furnishings and decor to the appliances, everything is first rate.

The gardens are beautiful, the two fire pits provide excellent night time gathering spots, and the view of the sunsets is spectacular. There were plenty of walkers, joggers, people riding bikes as well as some motor traffic, all of whom would stop to enjoy the view of the lake from the clearing.

The owners are very nice and very helpful.

This is a just a little bit further north, so it is serene, yet travel to restaurants and Harbor Springs is convenient.

I was the very fortunate guest of my brother-in-law and his wife from Charlotte, NC and they also found this home to be excellent, along with several other family members who stayed at various times.

Stunning home, wonderful owners

  • 5 of 5

This home was stunning! The place was spotless, not a speck of dust to be found. Ample sleeping space for a large family. There was only 5 of us, but we could have slept many more. Bedrooms were very comfortable, fully stocked kitchen. The view is breathtaking! The house is on the scenic Tunnel of Trees, which is so beautiful. We made day trips to Petoskey, Mackinaw, Harbor Springs, Lake Walloon (beautiful and crystal clear), Mackinac Island. Cross Village Beach is a must see. The kids wanted to go back several times to look for fossils and special rocks in the crystal clear waters. This home is absolutely gorgeous, has an amazing basement with games, TV, fitness...although we turned on the TV only once because there is so much else to do! Fire pit in the backyard was perfect for campfires and s'mores. Morning coffee on the deck with bird, black squirrel and deer watching was so relaxing! The owners Tom and Carol were so wonderful to work with - very friendly and accommodating. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! My parents, kids, and I had a very special trip.

Stunning location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for one week, 6 adults and one 11 year old.

The house is beautiful, excellently well equipped and having 2 sets of washing machines and driers was great. There are 3 bedrooms in the house itself and a self contained apartment which was splendid. The view from the porch is amazing especially as the sun sets. Everything provided in the house was good quality, the beds were comfy and plenty of bathrooms to go round. I would thoroughly recommend it.

The owners were helpful and friendly and all the info was spot on.

Nearest village is Cross Village which has a little general store that sells almost everything you might need in a hurry and very good fresh bread.

Harbor Springs and Petoskey are about 20 mins and 25 mins away respectively and are good for bike trails and mooching about. Pond Hill Farm where you can lob squash at sheep from a catapult is a must, seriously.
