Absolutely PERFECT in every way!!

  • 5 of 5

This was THE BEST experience, hands down! We rented this house for a Thursday-Sunday as we attended events planned for a fun filled wedding weekend. The nightly cost for this whole amazing house was not much more than the per night fee for just one room at a nice hotel! From the ease of booking to the familiar kindness and communication of Raina the owner to the incredible home and excellent location-- everything about our stay was perfect.

Raina was available to answer questions or steer us in the right direction throughout our stay. The house was immaculate and gorgeous! The location was perfect. Walking distance to shopping, neighborhood bars and restaurants as well as museums.

As much as I wanted to cook in the great mini chefs kitchen the timeline during the wedding weekend did not allow for it.

The showers are INSANE and everyone who stayed there took their turn in the awesome rain showers!

I checked and found a tankless water heater in the laundry room so 2 showers going at once was no problem!

The beds have tempurpedic toppers and are SOOO comfortable!!!

There are 3 1/2 floors so you do spend a good amount of time navigating stairs but it's so worth it. This house is filled with natural light and has a warm, inviting feel. There are skylights galore, including one in the kitchen that had us all wondering "How'd they do that?!?".

If you are looking for a gorgeous house in a safe part of Philly, near attractions, that offers all the comforts of home--you've found it.

Thank you, Raina-- we will book again!!

Great location and great owners

  • 5 of 5

The house very nice and conveniently located near the art museums. Close enough to Center City to walk which we didn't do since my parents are a bit elderly. It's very spacious and very well-decorated in a modern layout. This place was great and the owners were very accessible and responded quickly to our questions and requests. I would definitely rent this place again.

Good place for a family to stay when visiting the Children's Hospital

  • 5 of 5

The residence is conveniently located on a quiet street, within walking distance of restaurants, markets and museums. We spent a week there - grandparents, parents and child - and were quite comfortable.

Cool house layout on a beautiful street in a great neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

The neighbors were incredibly friendly and the check in process was so easy. Raina was super flexible, especially when we thought we needed to use the garage earlier than our check in time!

The house had everything we could have thought of with extra towels and sheets that we needed. The house was beautifully remodeled - we love the living room and the central courtyard! It was a comfy home that felt like home while being stylish (ie not ascetic)

Tips for staying there:

1) if renting a car, make sure it's a compact. Parking even the Prius was a tight fit.

2) ear plugs and sound machines- common in Philadelphia homes, the rooms all kinda face each other which is tough for light sleepers

3) each room has an a/c unit except the living room, so if during the summer, don't plan to camp out there during the day until it cools down.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your comments, Irene. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. I wanted to clarify a couple of things about your tips for future renters: 1. First, I feel horrible that you didn't know we have an AC Unit in the living room. The thermostat is located right next to the light switch on the window wall...and in fact that is our favorite room to spend time in all year round. For future renters' information, each of the bedrooms has a mini-split wall unit and is individually zoned just for that bedroom (the kitchen and dining room also have their own units). The living room has its own zone as well, but instead of a mini-split wall unit, for better aesthetics, we have traditional floor vents with a thermostat located right on the wall next to the light switch. You can absolutely camp out all day in the living room, it is quite comfortable and the best room in the house. 2. We always recommend that our renters get a full-sized car or smaller, not only for parking in our garage but also for parking on the streets of Philadelphia. 3. To clarify, each of the bedrooms are on a different floor and don't face each other (a queen bedroom is on the 2nd floor, another queen on the third and the master king bedroom on the top floor with an en suite bathroom). Living in the City in a row home, sound can travel easily, so if you are a light sleeper, earplugs or sound machines would be a great idea.

A WONDERFUL Place to stay in Philly

  • 5 of 5

This is a fantastic location if you want to visit Philly and be within walking distance, or short Uber drives, to all the history Philadelphia has to offer. You are also well placed if you want to experience the night life of the big city. (You are super close to hundreds of city locations, while at that same time the house is located on a quiet street and is a relaxing retreat. Enabling you and yours to recover from your daily and/or nightly excursions.) The only thing that surpassed the location was the owner! Raina is amazing. So friendly, quick to reply to questions and what a gracious host!! We know where we will be staying the next time we visit Philadelphia!! We couldn't recommend this "Modern Row Home" more highly! (But be aware that as a "Row Home" there are several floors/stairs that separate the living spaces). Thanks for an amazing vacation!!
