Not at all like what's listed!

  • 1 of 5

My family and I were so excited to book this beauty for the weekend just to end up in pure disappointment! We arrived on Friday and from the looks it wasn't so bad, not like the picutres but nothing to complain about....the house clearly was spot cleaned and not done very well. The hot tub didnt work from the first day it was cold and the outlet it was plugged into was faulty. The pool was cloudy and the pool light didnt even work. Outside tv didnt work...grill had moldy corn in it and was not cleaned in forever! The screen had holes in several places, so expect to not enjoy it at night since tons of roaches will be joining you outside and in garage! Inside had nothing providing as the listing states, no papertowls no handsoap, dish soap, nothing. The countertops had tons of ants on it. The wifi went off half way through the trip. For the amount of money tbis place is im sure you can find better! I wouldn't recommend this place highly unsatisfied.

Away from the city!

  • 3 of 5

If you are looking for a quiet retreat away from the bustle of Tampa, this would be the right place. The house is very clean and comfortable with nicely decorated bedrooms. However after closer inspection it needs a bit of TLC. We had a few unwanted bug roomates, I have never seen roaches so huge. The pool screen also needs proper repairing, we tried to skim the pool with the net to remove the bugs in the water, but it was impossible to get them all. Outside of this inconvenience we had a pleasant stay.

Home was very nice and in a great location.

  • 4 of 5

Stayed in the house the last week of March. Home was clean and very nicely laid out. My family and I had blast swimming, fishing and kayaking. Had a little problem with the hot tub staying on and keeping warm even though we kept it covered when it wasn't in use but other than that it was great. My wife and I decided that we would definitely stay here every time we come to Florida if possible.

Paradise in Apollo Beach!

  • 5 of 5

Our vacation this year at this Apollo Beach canal front home was in the words of my 21 year old son "the best!" We came to visit family and relax in the Florida sunshine. The house was beautiful and clean; stocked well enough to start out ( as are most homes for rent), and everything worked. We all slept well in the beds. The home was stocked with plenty of towels. We loved the pool and hot tub! It was so nice to relax in the sun and in the evening in the lanai and not get eaten by mosquitoes! The kayaks were great. It didn't matter to us that they are a little old and used. They float and they take you where you want to go! We took turns on different days. A manatee swam up to my kids and followed them around up close for awhile! This was a real highlight of the trip for them! As kids get into their teens and twenties, the big amusement parks can lose their shine - they're in school or work just like us "grownups" and want to have downtime too. We did go to Busch Gardens - 25 min drive from the property. A little something for everyone there : they had a nice Christmas Ice show that reminded me of a short version of Ice Capades, big roller coasters, some animal shows, a bird house, and, of course, some wild animals and the flamingos. We also went to the Manatee Nature Center and Preserve, about 10 minutes away. Saw manatees, small sharks, various fish and birds. It's free. Apollo Beach Nature Preserve and Beach was also a nice place about 10 minutes away, No swimming there but there is a nature trail and people fish from the beach. Found a few shells. Public's Grocery store is about 6 minutes away. You can fish off the docks ( they jump right in front of you!) or from the kayaks - bait shop 6 minutes away. The kids had a blast fishing from the kayaks down the canal. According to one of the neighbors alligators don't like salt water and he's never seen one in all the years he's lived in this area (the canal is salt water). We saw an osprey catching fish, though! Lots of birds flying overhead. Wished I had brought my binoculars! With all that said, we had a sweet, memorable vacation and hope to return again!

Awesome House

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the house for Thanksgiving weekend. We had all my family over for the meal. The lanai is great to be able to have more people. House was very clean. Bret was very easy to work with. Neighbors were friendly. It was in a good location with easy access to grocery stores and 75. We had a balast.
