Very disappointed- very dirty and Unhygienic over

  • 1 of 5

hello,

My wife and I and our extended family stayed at Blai11 from sat 20 dec until 27 Dec. The reason why we choose this house was because it looked great, clean and was large and able to accomodate the family members.

Well where do I start, we were disappointed. I don't know when the photos were taken, however many of them have either been photoshopped or are years old.

The living room was extremely dirty, the carpet was stained and in poor condition, the lounges, when the cushions were removed were dirty and there was crumbs and dirt there, the sofas were wornout, there were pieces of fabric on the seats covering holes and torn material.

The TV did not work and when we contacted the agent they advised that it does and the owner would be disappointed if they had to get a service technician to come out and look at it. I actually had a friend in Melbourne who was kind enough to come down and assist. When holiday letting one should not have to be a technician to view a TV, u should be able to just turn it on and select a channel. The other TV in the spare room, did not work at all. The mantle piece was absolutely filthy it had not been cleaned in years same as the harth around the open fire was discussing. The room around the windows and behind the furniture had dead flies on the floor.

Most of the Flyscreens and fly wire doors had holes or tears in them, so if the windows were open the house would fill up with mosquitoes and bugs. Great for summer nights over 30 degrees we were covered in bites.

The house has mould, on allot of the windows and especially in the main bedroom, I thought mould in a rented house was illegal, lucky no one suffered asthma or other allergies.

The Kitchen window was broken when u pushed it out, it had broken away from the window, extremely dangerous. The hot plates on the stove were rusted out, they were so corroded they could not be cleaned properly, we were little apprehensive to even use, we could have been a electrocuted..The cupboards were filthy, in the pantry was gardening equipment tools and little hand shovels that were dirty, it was like a tool shed. There was hardly any glasses, and those that were there would have only been for children or shots. the dinning room table was so small, please if you are saying yr house accommodates for 9 please make sure the table and chairs are for at least 9 people, this was not the case.

The bedrooms:

The bedlinen shown in the picture were definitely not the same as when we were
