I built this home for the quite getaway in the pines and 4 seasons that it provides. It is fun watching the leaves change, the snow fall, and feel the cool breezes in the summer.

We loved your home. It is beautiful with all the windows looking out onto the trees.
Our family of 3 generations enjoyed an absolutely marvelous few days at the cabin. The dwelling was so very lovely, well-appointed, comfortable and convenient. The owners/hosts efforts to ensure our stay was every bit as desired were, indeed, successful. They provided all the information we needed to locate the cabin readily and make ourselves at home. They were attentive and available a call or text away both prior to and during our stay. We were able to enjoy 3 cooks in the kitchen at once! Our make-your-own pizza bar was quite a hit. We truly appreciated the personal welcome gifts. We enjoyed so many aspects of being in the higher country of Arizona: hiking, watching wildlife, walking, visiting Sedona and Flagstaff, smelling the fragrance of the pines, gathering their needles and cones for crafts. And, oh, the wonderful views! Great photo opportunities, indoors and out. What a lovely environment the hosts (and God) provided for our refreshment, relaxation, enjoyment in the company of our loved ones. I must give credit to the architect and builders, too. Truly thankful. Each of our party hope to return in various seasons - and bring friends and other family too! We may have begun a new tradition!
We had a fabulous 6 week stay at the cabin. The location is perfect: in a quiet cul-de-sac and backing directly onto the National Forest. We hiked from the back of the house every day. The views from the deck were spectacular! The cabin is light, airy and comfortable and extremely clean and well equipped. We loved the huge open plan living/dining/kitchen area. All beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the Munds Park Farmers Market every Saturday morning and Flagstaff is only 15 minutes away with great stores, bars and restaurants. There are numerous activities for all the family within an hours drive such as Sedona, Bearizona, Page Springs Winery, Arizona Snowbowl and of course, the Grand Canyon. Doug was a great host and responded immediately to any questions. Our one small criticism is that, while there were comfortable lounge chairs on the large deck, there was no patio dining table and chairs. Luckily we were able to borrow a table from friends living in Munds so that we could enjoy the outside to the fullest. Thank you Doug for a great experience.
We stayed at this property for a full week (June 12-18, 2016) . It was very clean and quiet as there is no neighbor to the North or East, and the house to the South was unoccupied during our stay. The house was comfortable and made us feel 'at home'.
We used the grill once for 30 minutes and it worked well.
The TV/Sound System is excellent and allowed us to watch movies every night to wind down from the day.
The kitchen was convenient with a nice large island for eating.
Our only complaint was the Internet service. Shown as 'High Speed Internet', it ran at 0.75 Down and 0.05 Up, which made it impossible for me to work and, add 3 kids with devices, and it was pretty much unusable. Maybe this was a good thing to some people as we were on 'vacation' but owning a software business, it helps if I can keep up with 'hot topics'. This made my typical 15 minutes daily effort closer to an hour just to respond to a few emails.
So, if you're not internet dependent, everything else is pretty much perfect.
We would recommend this property for many reasons. Doug, the owner, is great to work with. He is detailed and will provide you any information you need. The price, for us, was equivalent to staying in a hotel but with MUCH more space and privacy. If you're in the area for more than a few nights, this is definitely a valid option.
We loved our stay at this cabin! It was beautiful and very clean. It had everything we needed to make our meals in the cabin. The beds were so comfortable. The views were amazing! It happened to snow while we were there which was a plus and everything was there we needed for the snow...shovels and sleds. Doug the owner was awesome to work with and Responded quickly to any questions we had.
Stayed at the cabin in Munds Park for Thanksgiving and had an amazing time. The cabin is clean and comfortable with amenities not typically found in a rental home. The fireplace was a hit with everyone and cooking a meal for an entire extended family was easy with a huge kitchen that had everything that was needed. If you're thinking about renting the Munds Park cabin, stop thinking and just go for it. You will not be disappointed. Easy to reach all the major attractions like Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater, Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, Route 66, and so much more.
We have rented in Munds Park for extended weeks in the summer for 4 out of last 5 years and this cabin was easily superior to all the others. Extremely clean with all the comforts of home! If you're looking for some summer fun in the pines near Flagstaff this is the place for you!
