A great villa experience. The manager Hugo, the chefs and the other staff could not have been more accommodating. Aside from the chefs day off we didn't cook a thing and they cleaned up after each and every meal.
The villa is beautifully designed and easily large enough for our group of eight to be able to find some quiet moments when needed. The bedroom we used, number five, had wonderful breezes throughout the night so despite warm and humid evenings we never used the air conditioning.
Ten minutes up the beach is a boutique hotel called Jashita that has a good menu with competent and efficient staff. Five minutes down the beach is a ramshackle joint called Chamico that has no menu but does have wonderful ceviche, whole fried fish and cold beer. What else do you need?
Tulum's hotel strip is shoulder to shoulder nouveau hippie chic with lots of restaurant choices. It's about 40 minutes drive from the villa and probably very busy during high season.
We would go back in a heartbeat.
Casa Buena Suerte has been my second experience through LR. The house is just as we imagined, beautiful and in a priviledged location. Hugo, the manager, is a very kind and unique man who was always very attentive. We were expecting a little better food, better prepared chefs, and better equiped kitchen.(we were always short of wine glasses). THe house could use better maintenance and we were expecting better service in regards of always having someone to take care of us (for a real vacation...). But over all, our stay at Casa Buena Suerte was wonderful and we found Tulum to be a very charming town. For next time, i would say i would rather have a planned meal plan (already paid) than having to pay every meal (in cash) by the end of the day, a lot of the food bought was left over and that was a shame.
Nice house, what was expected. Beach experience below what advised. Service was the minimun expected (cooking, house keeping) Bedding in bad conditions (holes). Overall ok, but for the price not comparable to experience before in Jamaica with Villa selected thru you.
we had a great time! one of the biggest contributing factors was the staff......just superb! they made the difference.
Casa Buena Suerte far exceeded our expectation. The Villa & grounds are absolutely beautiful! The staff was very professtional and accomodating. I would also highly recommend taking advantage of the Private Chef services - the food & service was incredible.
