Great Value

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four stayed at the Inn on High Street for two nights. The owners, Dean and Lisa, greeted us upon arrival and were very warm and welcoming. The studio is nice and clean and has many extras that you don't get from a hotel room. My two sons loved playing on the foosball table. It also is in a fantastic location - a short walk to the shops and restaurants in downtown Truckee.

Great location and great hosts!

  • 5 of 5

We took Amtrak from Emeryville to Truckee with a family of 5 (kids 6, 4, and 1). We were able to walk from the train station to the house, with luggage and snow coming down. The place was great; plenty of room to move around, lots of games/movies for kids, and an abudance of sleeping space. Quick walk to downtown for meals and to the bus/train station to get around the area without a car. Owners were very attentive to any needs and requests. Looking forward to staying there again!

Fantastic Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Dean & Lisa (Owner's) were incredibly sweet and great to work with from beginning to end. I even left something there and they immediately mailed it back to me the next day with a really sweet thank you card.

The property was clean and had everything we needed, the bed was incredibly comfortable (better than any hotels I've stayed at) and the price was totally reasonable.

The location was blocks from the downtown and 15-20 minutes from Northstar, it was a really ideal location.

I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay! We had a really great experience all around :)

Great space for family of 4

  • 5 of 5

Note: This review is largely a copy of a recently well written review titled 'Comfortable, convenient, just what we were looking for!'......Lisa and Dean's studio is a great place to stay if you are visiting the Truckee/Squaw/Sugar Bowl/Soda Springs/Royal Gorge/Tahoe Donner/ Northstar area. It is extremely convenient to all seven ski areas, with very quick and easy access to/from I-80 and yes, their road is within the city limits and I'm told by Dean plowed very promptly after a heavy snowfall. He even offered to help me with installing tire chains if that became necessary. The studio is clean, updated and roomy, with a nice kitchenette (no stove, just a toaster oven and microwave) and living area. The living space is not drafty and can be heated fairly quickly. There is a very comfortable queen bed, and two futon couches (that flatten into very wide beds) in the living area that could accommodate the kids. There is a nice bathroom, with abundant hot water and modern plumbing. Lisa and Dean are great hosts, very conscientious and attentive! Downtown Truckee has several good restaurants, check yelp.com for the latest, most of which are within walking distance, although I would not advise it at night due to the steep hill leading down to the center of town.

Comfortable, convenient, just what we were looking for!

  • 5 of 5

Lisa and Dean's studio is a great place to stay if you are visiting the Truckee/Squaw/Sugar Bowl area. It is extremely convenient to all three , with easy access from I-80. The studio is clean, updated and roomy, with a nice kitchenette and living area. There is a very comfortable queen bed, and two futons in the living area that could accommodate others. There is a great bathroom, with abundant hot water, one of my personal "must have's". Lisa and Dean are great hosts! Downtown Truckee has several good restaurants, we especially liked Moodys and Pianetta's and Jax on the Tracks - they are within walking distance, although I would not advise it at night. Skiing at either area is about 20 minutes away. We stayed 5 nights while visiting our daughter and will be back!

A Great Way To Spend New Years!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Truckee over the holidays at Lisa and Dean's studio. It was roomy, comfortable, and just a really great location for accessing Truckee, Tahoe and the surrounding ski resorts. Highly recommended if you're looking for a place with walking access to downtown Truckee.
