We had a great week on Anna Maria Island. The house is conveniently located. We used the bikes everyday. Great beach supplies. We could walk or bike to our favorite place to eat " The Gourmet Island Cafe". Lin was great to work with.
What can I say about our stay at the Brady's Beach House? Our week-long stay at the beach house was fantastic! We never wanted to leave. As familiar travelers on Anna Maria Island, I don't think the location gets better than where the house is; and the house itself has everything we could've needed. My boyfriend and I stayed at the house for 8 nights earlier this month and absolutely loved it. Since we were there for so long, we utilized the kitchen, which we found stocked with anything we could've needed, and totally convenient! The fridge and cabinets even had some spices and condiments that were helpful! Not only is the house a short walk to the beach (only a block!), but it is also a short walk to shops and cafes around the corner, and a bike's ride distance to anywhere on the island, as well as to the Robinson Preserve (we know, we rode everywhere!). Being a holiday weekend, the island was busier than we have ever seen it, but even with all of the holiday traffic, the house was in a perfect location to keep us away from being stuck! The house had everything we could've needed, and more. The closets were stocked with hangers and linens; the house had all of the beach necessities (chairs, umbrella, pails, boogie board), and like I mentioned... bikes! The charcoal grill was a great feature, as well, since we love to cook. And, for the rainy afternoons, it was great to sit out on the screened-in porch to read, have a glass of wine, or eat our meals. Everything was clean, and the house was decorated so beachy and really felt like home. The outdoor shower was another great feature (I don't think my boyfriend showered inside once - he loved it that much!) We truly could not have asked for more in our stay at the beach house, and will most definitely be returning - hopefully sooner rather than later!
My husband and I truly loved this place and our month here! It was colorful, bright and airy with very comfortable cozy seating/lighting for reading a great book after the beach. Having the screened porch added to the space and comfort; we read the morning papers and drank coffee there. We were especially pleased with how well supplied the house was; we loved riding the two bikes around the island and even found a bike rack for the car so we could go to the Robinson Preserve trails. It was such a short walk to the stunning beach that people could come and go back to the house as they pleased; we did love the sunsets there. The house is centrally located on the island; we could take the free trolley and even used the nearby Holmes Beach library and elementary school playground with grandchildren. Having the utility room at one end of the house made storage and laundry very convenient. One highlight was the property manager Lin Oakerson; she was a great combination of being professional and informative and yet very friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend this place and feel like a month didn't begin to get us truly acquainted with Anna Maria.
We stayed here for 2 weeks in Feb and it was a terrific base. Comfortable, spotless, well-appointed and in a very handy location: walking distance to varied shopping and eating establishments and a lovely short stroll to the gorgeous beach. The management were very accommodating and responded quickly to any queries. The only thing missing was a teapot, but we remedied that!!!! The photos don't do the place justice: both the indoors and the screened-in porch were a pleasure to occupy. The bikes were handy for our daily ritual of exploring the area. The trolley made the car unnecessary for most outings. We loved the smaller of the two piers in Anna Maria: lots of local colour! Also the old fishing village across the bridge was a unique destination. St. Armand's Circle was terrific for people-watching and in Sarasota both Owen's Fish Shack and the old revue movie theatre next door were worth checking out. The Sunday Farmers' market and Thieve's market were fun to visit, as well
We felt this destination had everything: we could easily be lazy around the house and the beach, or we could choose from numerous local adventures. It's spacious enough for children to enjoy themselves.
We will hopefully be returning next year for a most welcome break from winter. Thanks. Lin for making us so comfortable!
From the first time we stepped in the door my sister said "Wow it looks just like the photos". Before the last day of the trip we agreed its the best place we have ever stayed at. They had everything we needed for day to day living and a perfect location. It is a cute and cosy place to get away and relax.
We would ride bikes to the beach or stores. There was a wonderful restaurant just across the street, easy to get to on bike or car. The propery mananger was very helpful and easy to get a hold of with any questions. I'm so glad she helped us find this home and can't wait to come back very soo.
Adult bicycles on site for guest use, beach towels, beach sun umbrellas, beach furniture, toys and outdoor shower to wash off when you return. Great outdoor space.
