This chalet had everything we needed for our weekend on the mountain. The kitchen has everything you could need to prepare a perfect aprés ski meal and the beds were comfy. We definitely hope that the chalet is available for whenever we plan out next extended stay at Whiteface.
Our family of 4 wanted to get away for the Thanksgiving weekend and Little Peak Chalet was absolutely perfect! The Chalet is tucked away up in the mountain just across from Whiteface, and is part of a little mountain neighborhood. My kids immediately commented on how quiet it was 'away from it all.' The chalet itself was clean and well appointed for our needs. It has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, shower and all of the dishes, pots, pans, and linens that anyone would need. Our daughters slept in the loft, my wife in the back bed, and I brought an air mattress for myself knowing that I don't do well on couch mattresses and there was no way we would both fit into a double bed (I'm 6'4) and it worked out really well. The drive for the Gondola ride at Whiteface was about 5 minutes away...and Main St. Lake Placid is about 25 mins away. Little Peak was clean, and centrally located to everything we wanted to do for our quick trip! The front deck was great to sit on and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and enjoy the view of Whiteface. We take multiple trips per year and our kids said that this was their favorite vacation of all time. We are already planning another trip up during a different season to take advantage of all of the fun Lake Placid and Wilmington have to offer.
Perfect little chalet in tho woods but with a lot of things close by!
Such a well maintained chalet with beautiful views close to Whiteface, the W Branch Ausable, and a ton of other spots. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here & would highly recommend this rental!
If you like an ole-time-feel cabin in the woods, this is the place. One hour into our stay and the stress of the world dropped away. The front deck and the fire pit got plenty of use. It's perfectly close to all the sights, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace, and quiet of forest life.
All the amenities we needed were here. No AC, but the fans and open windows kept us cool and comfortable.
We loved it! We'll be back again and again!
P.s. Price is incredible!
Tammy, your cabin MADE the 60th celebration perfect!
We really enjoyed our two night stay at this cozy chalet in the woods. Very clean and owner was great throughout the whole booking and stay. Good home base for our vacation in Lake Placid. Enjoyed camp fires at night. Thank you for a wonderful time.
