Fishing: Louisiana is know as the 'Sportsman's Paradise' and for good reason. Some of the best fishing anywhere can be found 45 minute from the apartment. Guided fishing tours can easily be arranged for speckled trout and red-fish. Although fishing is good year round, August is usually an exceptional time to fish.
My name is Norman Robles and my parents; (Alejandra and Cesar) own Diversified Enterprises of New Orleans, we have over 20 years of experience development and restoration of both residential and commercial properties. You can find our company online and read more about us. We just finished the restoration of North Rampart, everything is new and on August 20th of 2015, this particular property was listed on the internet with Airbnb. This is the reason why we don't have reviews yet.
I am currently a student at the University of New Orleans majoring in business management, and will pursue my masters in real estate development at Tulane University. Actually, I managed and leased our single family homes portfolio. In addition, I am the project manager for our re-development projects in the historic French Quarter. My mother and I will take care every single details during your stay.
Norman purchased this condo in 2012
This is one of the most beautiful properties in the French Quarter, and is ideally located to enjoy all of the French Quarter activities, Festivals and events. Yes, you are within short walking distance to anywhere in the French Quarter and the Marigny Area. Another reason why we wanted this property is because next year,
all our guests will be able to board our world famous "Streetcar", which will run right in front of our property.
The uniqueness of this condo reveals that attention to detail is the primary focus. As you walk into the condo, you will be dazzled by the 18 foot ceilings of the living room which are adorned by a dramatic five foot hanging Crystal French chandelier; while the back drop of the living room is comprised of the original 1830s brick wall, the beautifully enriched hardwood floors, together with the foyer's marble flooring, will take you back in time to the glory days of french opulence.
to further enhance your experience, make your way to the over sized balcony thru the wall to wall french doors, and enjoy your morning coffee, or sip wine in the evening while appreciating the manicured beauty of one of the courtyards.
You will rest well knowing that y this very private residence is gated with secure pass-code access. Walk to your favorite restaurant, jazz club or St. Louis Cathedral. Yes, you are within short walking distance to anywhere in the French Quarter!
Also, we enhance all our sofa sleepers, with a memory foam pad topper. The memory foam supports your pressure points as you sleep, providing you wiht unmatched comfort.
We really enjoyed our visit to NOLA and the site of the condo was great. With three members of our party in their 60s, we were not thrilled with the curved stairs leading up to the 2nd floor condo. We knew there was a spiral staircase in the condo but did not know the steps outside were also curved with a loose railing. Luckily we had my son along to carry our bags up. Both the day bed in the living room and the loft bed were great but the bed in the bedroom was not comfortable at all! Being a "luxury" condo, we were disappointed that the tv in the livingroom needed to have the upstairs remote to start it, and a couple of other "shortcuts" that took away from the "luxury" aspect - pillow in the living room held together with safety pins, holes in the towels, and the toilet paper holder in the bathroom which was moved but the holes not filled. We also tried to dry our wet clothes after been drenched and the dryer did not dry. We loved being close to the streetcar and used it many times. The information on NOLA provided was very helpful.
Being long-time visitors to New Orleans, we will be back next year.... We would definitely like to return to the location but would try to get a ground floor condo.
We had a wonderful time. Condo is exactly as described and then some. The trolley stop will be a block away once it is completed (around Oct. 2016) and Norman was super quick to answer any questions and solve any issues. We had a welcome gift of champagne and some snacks as well as a handy map of the French Quarter. The walk from the condo to the French Market was around 12 minutes, 16 to Jackson Square. Perfect for a young couple or a group of friends, a bit long for a family. Too far in heels. We made the walk around 4 times a day and didn't have any issues with security or hecklers. The street was very clean and lit, even at 1 in the morning. The location is great, right down the street is the famous Delphine LaLaurie house and Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop. We used Uber to get around the city outside of the French Quarter and didn't have any issues either with that service. I would def. stay again. The building is so beautiful and location was great, not too far and not too close.
Just don't mess with the air settings. It gets crazy hot, crazy fast in the apartment. Even if you are cold at any time during your stay, don't mess with it - you'll regret the air trying to play catch up.
The condo, while small, was perfect for our needs. We were a party of three however, the condo could clearly accommodate more. Very clean, comfortable, and a great location. There was a little issue with the outside entry combination lock but Norman, the owner, was quick to respond (as usual) and all worked out fine. Norman also gave us a list of recommended restaurants, clubs, etc. Those we went to were top notch. Over-all a great five days. The condo was a great place to unwind and get ready for the next activity. Would certainly return.
I rented this property for a bachelorette weekend for my sister. The condo was very cute, well priced and walking distance to all the NOLA action. Norman was very helpful leading up to our stay - he answered any questions I had very promptly and provided me with a list of wonderful restaurants nearby. The balcony was also a huge plus, plenty of room for all 5 girls and it overlooked a very nice little courtyard area. Would definitely stay there again.
a small unit but very comfortable. the furniture and the beds were as advertised. the location was great, you are within a half mile or less of every thing in the French quarter. the parking for us was no problem. we parked the car in front of unit and left it for two days. you do have to watch the signs depending on which days you are there. there were four adults and we all enjoyed the stay. the court yard is a nice place to relax if the weather is good. we will for sure stay there again the next time we go back to new Orleans.
Condo was exactly as described and pictured. Beds were comfy, living space was nice. Parking was extremely easy, within walking distance to everything. We felt very comfortable walking to and from condo. Street car construction was going on so it was a little noisy in the m orning but not a big deal. The courtyards were very nice.
My only recommendation would be to stock things a little more: tp, kitchen towels and basic cooking necessities--salt, pepper, olive oil...
The shower did not have any hot water, which isn't bad because you're in the south, but I like HOT showers.
Very nice condo and would love to return!
We are located Two blocks from Armstrong Park, 3 blocks from the Marigny area, three block from Bourbon Street and four blocks from Royal Street.
