Norton Shores House Rental Photos and Description

4 Bedroom / 2.5 Bathroom Close To Beaches, Boating, Muskegon And Grand Haven

Imagine waking each morning to the sound of birds chirping, and the Lake Michigan breeze blowing through the tall oak and pine trees of your wooded lot perched atop a dune within walking distance of private beach access. Enjoy a cup of coffee from your Keurig brewer on one of several decks overlooking the property – including one just off the master suite with a spiral staircase down to the secluded back patio. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the luxurious 6-person hot tub surrounded by a tall privacy wall, take a nap in the comfy hammock, go for an invigorating morning bike ride on one of the provided bicycles, or check out the 100+ acres of pristine beach, sledding hills and hiking trails along the tall dunes of Lake Harbor Park, also just a short walk or pedal away. Also included for your enjoyment during your stay are an assortment of bicycles, beach toys, wagon, beach umbrella and anchor, and beach chairs.

Prepare meals in your spacious and well-stocked kitchen, and enjoy seating for 8 at the beautiful antique dining table inside, or seating for up to 10 on the back deck and patio. Families can have peace of mind that the dune home is located in a safe, quiet, walkable Norton Shores neighborhood with low traffic and a nearby association playground with play equipment, four basketball goals and a tennis court. On the occasional rainy day, you can catch up on your favorite TV shows or movies with the 50” HD smart TV with cable package and streaming Netflix, hit the nearby Lakes Mall, or check out the local Meijer store to stock up on rations.

The home is very spacious, boasting 2700 sq ft of living space with four sleeping rooms, two full and one half baths, two large separate living rooms, and a den with an extra day bed with trundle. The home affords plenty of space for your group to spread out without disturbing others or waking those sleeping. Upstairs are the master bedroom with a king bed and two additional bedrooms with a full/twin bunk setup in each. Downstairs bedroom has a queen and twin bed. All mattresses and linens are brand new summer of 2015, no “icky” cottage beds here.

In the evening, be sure to take an after-dinner stroll to the private observation deck overlooking Lake Michigan to enjoy a spectacular sunset. And don’t forget the hot tub with massaging jets for a relaxing finish to your day.

Nearby activities and places of interest include numerous great golf courses, Pere Marquette Park beach, Hoffmaster State Park, Michigan Adventure amusement park, USS Silversides Museum, and Grand Haven channel, pier and musical fountain. Enjoy!

About Dan and Anne Patterson

Dan and Anne - married for 13 years with two great kids. We enjoy spending time at the dune home, the area beaches and parks (especially morning hikes on the dunes and beach at nearby Lake Harbor Park), and boating on Muskegon Lake, Spring Lake, and Lake Michigan.

Dan and Anne Patterson purchased this house in 2014

Why Dan and Anne Patterson chose Western Michigan

We bought this property first and foremost for the wonderful location in the dunes along Lake Michigan between Muskegon and Grand Haven. The neighborhood is beautiful and safe with friendly neighbors, private beach access, a great neighborhood park with playground, basketball courts and tennis court. The house is well built, very spacious and comfortable on a beautiful lot with mature trees and elevation change. Plenty of room to entertain and relax.

Fantastic place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This home was everything we hoped for and exactly as described online: spacious, comfortable, very close to the beach in a nice neighborhood. We had 9 adults, a baby and two dogs and everyone had what they needed: beds, towels, information, hot water, quiet, working appliances, and the hot tub for luxurious relaxing! Muskegon was just our speed: great for outdoor stuff (summertime) and casual dining, well equipped grocery stores. We saw many night spots if we'd wanted that, though we didn't take advantage. A very special vacation and attentive hosts. We highly recommend this property and its owners.

Girls Weekend with 4 Generations

  • 5 of 5

We spent a September weekend with 9 adults and 1 child in this house comfortably, ages 5 to 80 years old. There were many areas for people to go if they wanted quiet time for themselves, a perfect house for this! The hot tub was very popular, the yard was beautiful, the neighborhood quiet. Plenty of seating areas for everyone. The owners and family were welcoming and gracious, multiple offers to call with questions or problems. The information provided for the renters was outstanding and really appreciated. I will be recommending this house to friends!!

Very clean and nice! Lots of space for larger groups!

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed our visit very much! Some rooms have a bunk style beds that provide lots of sleeping space for large groups. We were all adults and some in those rooms felt more headroom and circulation would have been nice. The hot tub was very relaxing and we found the entire home to be well stocked, clean, and comfortable.

Wonderful property and even better customer service!!

  • 5 of 5

Wow!! What a beautiful property! This place was better than I expected! The pictures actually make the house look smaller than it is. Very spacious layout. All the amenities you need. It's in a very nice and quiet neighborhood, which makes it a very relaxing place to stay. Just a few minutes walk from the beach. It's also very convenient to town and anything you need in the area. Dan was wonderful!! He made us feel like we were staying in our own home. Anything we needed he was more than happy to accommodate! Thank you for a perfect stay!! I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Muskegon/Grand Haven area!

Nice vacation home, especially for adults.

  • 4 of 5

This is a spacious home in a nice and quiet neighborhood. It is in walking distance to a Lake Michigan beach that has a beautiful deck for catching the sunsets. Some great Lake Michigan beaches are just a 10 minute car ride away. Grocery stores and shopping are also close. We found a great bakery which is on the way to the beach at the Plaza.

Due to the limited amount of yard, it is not the best home for smaller children who like to play outside. The playground is close, but still not the same as having a yard to play in.

The owners are great to work with and are very responsivle when communicating with them before and during our stay.
