My name is Suzanne, and I am a Sign Language Interpreter, Massage Therapist, adventurer, traveler, and people lover. I run two vacation rentals, one on Vashon Island (ask me about it!), and one here in the heart of Seattle. I am originally from New York, but was drawn to the beauty of the Northwest, with its mountains, water, and wilderness. I hope to share a piece of all that I love here with travelers from far and near. Looking forward to meeting you!
Suzanne purchased this apartment in 2011
I chose this apartment to be my 'pied a terre', or city home because I live on Vashon, but work in Seattle, so I wanted to have a place I could stay and live during the work week. The location for this condo was ideal, being next to downtown, near Capitol Hill, theaters restaurants, and the Convention Center.
I love being so near to the heart of the city, especially if I've been in my rural Vashon home for a stretch. I like being able to walk everywhere; go to movies, out to eat, shopping, etc, and never get in a car. I love the view from my perch, especially that I can look down and see trees and greenery planted on the convention center, as well as buildings of the city scape in the further distance, and the peek of Lake Union from the master bedroom. What a treat!
I was looking for an apartment for 5 of us and the most important things were location and price. The Nest is absolutely perfect for what we needed. You really can't get a better deal than this in this type of location. We were 10 minutes (max) walkign distance from Pike Place Market, and right in the heart of the downtown shopping scene. There was even a secure garage that we could use which is brilliant in this part of town. The apartment itself was also great, with plenty of space and super clean. The owner even had a welcome basket waiting for us complete with some wine and seattle treats.
Location: Really good. Within walking distance to all locations in Seattle. Easy to get to.
A/C provided in 2 rooms, which was very nice!
All devices worked with no issues. Room was easy to get to.
Overall we are pleased, great customer service!
Slightly aged but makes up for it with the awesome location. Right next to the Convention Center and a quick ride to Safeco Field. The key was very hard to find late at night, so make sure you understand the instructions before setting out on foot. It was wonderful having your own parking spot. It is a very small spot, so don't rent too big of a car. Everything was clean and the owner was easy to contact with questions. I would recommend this place and stay there again:) Tammy Elliott from Anchorage, Alaska
We loved staying at the Nest. The location was perfect - we wanted to visit some places in Capitol Hill - Annapurna for Indian food - and downtown, so we were right in the middle. We even walked all the way to Pier 69 - just a 30 min walk from here. We didn't have a car while in Seattle, but when we were ready to see the countryside, we rented from Budget, which is in the Homewood Suites, right next door. There was everything we needed in the apartment for light cooking, and all the furniture and beds were comfortable, and perfectly clean. Communications were easy too. Thanks!
We were able to walk everywhere from this location. Coffee shops, dinner-LARK, Pike Place Market. The condo fit our needs to a T. 4 adults- plenty of room! Book it - you won't be sorry!
This condo is in prime location for exploring the Seattle downtown area. We were able to walk to Pike Market, both Stadiums, Lake Union, Monorail (to Space Needle) and more. The building is a bit old but Suzanne has made her unit comfortable and inviting. She is also readily available for any questions throughout your stay. Thanks Suzanne!
