I Never Get Tired of the View!!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed for 2 months at the end of winter (March 15 to May 15). What an awesome choice it turned out to be! It provided the atmosphere that I remembered from my childhood...but better. It snowed so we made snowmen and snow angels, had snowball fights, had hot chocolate by the fire, and got cozy together by the fire nightly.

We also got to enjoy some of the warmer weather by rowing around the lake, taking pictures of all the wildlife, feeding the birds and the squirrels, skipping rocks, and sitting on the deck sunning or BBQing.

It was quiet and secluded, but only 10 minutes to downtown Traverse City. The house large for only the two of us but it worked well when we had family over for dinner or events. The country chic decorations, various sitting areas, and multitude of board games/books/kids activities gave the house a very warm comfortable feel.

I am extremely happy with our stay there. I definitely recommend this place!

Great place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, along with two other couples stayed here over the weekend. It was quiet and secluded, but only 10 minutes to downtown Traverse City. The house was clean and inviting. The charming décor, open floor plan and plenty of comfy seating for all, made us feel right at home. Although we didn’t do much cooking over the weekend the kitchen had plenty of cookware and utensils to get the job done. We were able to order pizza for delivery, always a good thing!

The Outdoor space was by far my favorite. A large deck surrounded by woods with a great view of the lake. We enjoyed, kayaking, fishing and swimming, the water was so clear you could see to the bottom with no problem. A late night fire out by the lake was a perfect end to a long day. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some time away.

Thank you Laurie for all your help with booking this place.

Map

The area hosts many activities; including the National Cherry Festival and other local festivals, Michael Moore's Film Festival, arts and craft shows, concerts in the park, casino's, wineries, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes (a must), performances at the widely acclaimed Interlochen Center for the Arts and the Opera House; you're certain to stay busy.

Enjoy fishing charter boats, catamaran sunset cruises, para sailing (for those who are brave), jet ski rentals, hot air balloon rides, our local markets, cherry picking (and other fruits depending upon the season), and hiking trails.

Looking to golf? Perfect area for that! Fantastic golf courses surround Traverse City. Fishing? Look no further. Shopping? How about a large mall, outlet mall, and amazing local shops to find that special treasure. The dining is also fabulous, and we have amazing local chefs that prepare meals that you'll want to tell your friends and family about (as you're looking out at the reflection of the water, or dining by sunset).
