NEW for 2016 - Lovely renovated kitchen and ultra-secure keypad lock system! Relax on our large, covered, private third floor lanai while watching the spinner dolphins, whales breech (in season) boats and other activities in the ocean or happenings on Alii Drive. YES, OUR CONDO HAS A BEAUTIFUL DIRECT OCEAN VIEW!!!! Right in the heart of Kailua Kona, you're only steps away from oceanfront shops, restaurants and the waterfront!

Newly decorated, our lovely condo is fully equipped with everything you need in a home away from home for a few days, a few weeks, or a few months. The romantic bedroom offers a california king bed and plenty of closet storage. In the living room is a fold out queen sofa. Quality linens are provided and the unit also has a new HE washer and dryer for your convenience.

Kona Plaza is a four floor quiet condo community with elevators and free secure covered garage parking.

We do not have hidden fees and recently saved a lucky traveler almost $200 by renting with us!

About Jinger

My husband and I fell in love with the Big Island while honeymooning in Kona in 2004. We bought a home near Southpoint in 2007 and purchased our Kona condo in 2011. We combine warm aloha with southern hospitality and strive to exceed your expectations!

Why Jinger chose Kona Coast

The minute I walked into our Kailua Kona condo and saw the gorgeous ocean view, I knew this was the place for us! We are right in the middle of everything and enjoy leisurely walks by the bay, to the shops and to a variety of restaurants.

What makes this condo unique

There are so many wonderful things we enjoy about our Kona Bay Hideaway! The view of the ocean from our lanai, watching the dolphins play, the cruise ships and activities in the water, the convenience of being in the heart of Kona and in walking distance of everything, the variety of restaurants and shops, the pool, being beside the Mokuaikaua Church and across the street from Hulihee Palace! What's not to love?

Perfect Quiet Hideaway

Thank you to Jinger and Roger for sharing their place with us! The unit was as described with a very well outfitted kitchen. We especially appreciated having tupperware to use for our picnic lunches while out sightseeing. The unit was clean and the provided beach equipment and towels were appreciated and in great condition. The location was very convenient in terms of access to the highway, airport and shops (groceries, gas, etc.). Walking distance to Alii Drive is a huge bonus! This gave us easy access to restaurants, shops and the beach! The view was truly beautiful and we enjoyed sitting out in the morning and evening. Although other units are close by, you don't hear other people very much at all making for great night sleeps. The pool area was spotless and deserted when we used it and made for a quiet and refreshing afternoon. Extra touches like flowers and champagne (for our honeymoon) were very much appreciated and made the stay more homey and personal. We had one small problem connecting to the internet when we first arrived, but it was solved quickly. We emailed late at night and Roger responded to us before we even woke up. His suggested troubleshooting approach worked perfectly. We would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to find ourselves back on The Big Island! It truly is the perfect little hideaway and home base to use while enjoying the splendour of the island.

Great value! Great location!

Jinger was awesome and very accessible. The condo had lots of nice amenities (i.e. beach chairs, great towels, hair products). The price was great. The location was great if you plan to spend most of the day exploring and then want to walk to Kona restaurants and bars at night.

Walking Distance in Kona

We had some mixed feelings about our recent stay at the Kona Plaza. To start the positive column, the property is immaculately clean. We caught the cleaning lady on the way out. She was a very pleasant introduction to the bright and cheery Kona locals. The Lanai was huge and nicely complemented with furniture and overhead fans. We had two negatives to note that are totally out of the hands of the owners. One, the building seems kind of sterile without much external decor. Finally, there is a restaurant directly below the condo with an external air conditioner / fan that is very loud. It was disheartening to have such an awesome view and huge Lanai but have to ignore the fan. Overall, the Condo would not be my first choice for a quite beach getaway. I picked it for location and is fit the bill very well. The location is easy walking distance to several restaurants, shops and a fantastic outdoor market. We had a short stay in preparation for a loop around the island. This was our third island visit and the Big Island is our favourite. Thanks so much, Aloha

Unfortunately, with modern conveniences come modern noise, as with the air conditioning unit on the restaurant below our condo. However, the fan does block street noise, which is a positive aspect. We have many repeat visitors who love Kona Plaza and favor our unit. We hope to welcome you back on your next Big Island adventure..

What a GREAT place to stay!

My husband and I stayed at Roger and Jinger's place and it is absolutely perfect - clean, spacious, great view and even better location. We both agreed that next time we visit Kona, we will definitely stay here again. You can't go wrong with this one! Thank you so much for letting us stay at your fabulous condo!

Home away from home

We have stayed in many condos in the Kona Plaza and by far this is the best one!! Ocean view, street view and high enough to get the trade winds. Walking distance to everything and if you need to drive it's near the main roads. The condo is well taken care of, has a kitchen and BBQ deck as well as a washer and dryer. We loved the raised lani furniture.....perfect for dinners and taking in the view.

We absolutely love the Kona Plaza whenever we vacation on the Big Island. Not only is this unit one of our favorites to reserve when available, but the owners are phenomenal folks to communicate with...I feel more like a part of their family than a lodger in their beautiful unit. Make sure to reserve early as this unit books fast (and for good reason). Will definitely stay here again and again and again!!

Stay in the heart of historic Kailua-Kona with a beautiful ocean view. Walk to shops, restaurants, beach and pier. The first Christian church built in Hawaii, Mokuaikaua, is next door to the complex and can be viewed from the the third and fourth floor sundecks. It's a beautiful church and still holds regular church services. The Hulihe'e Palace, previously the vacation home of Hawaiian royalty is located across the street from Kona Plaza on Ali'i Drive. It's now a museum run by the Daughters of Hawaii and there is frequently events held on the ocean-side lawn. The Farmer's Market is a short walk from the condo on Ali'i, offering fresh tropical fruits, souvenirs, homemade items and clothing.
