Roomy and quiet haven in the woods

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I brought our twin teenaged girls and their friend on a trip to Flagstaff. After horseback riding, hiking, and lava tube adventures, it was so nice to spend some quiet time in this clean, well-equipped cabin. Lots of room to play games, cook a nice meal, and relax. We love the private master get-away suite in the basement!

This is a place we will return to!

Stay at Little elk Lodge

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at Little Elk Lodge over the 4th July week, and we could not be any happier. As a family we were visiting Flagstaff via New Jersey for vacationing and my oldest daughter was visiting Northern Arizona University. I am familiar with the area because I went to school there. The place was clean and we treated it like it was our own. The downstairs suite my oldest slept in and loved it because she thought it was her own apartment. My wife and I slept up in the loft and the other kids used the bunk bed room which they loved. Everyone had there own bathroom, and to have a kitchen and living room it just made the place even more comfortable. Eve and Joe have great communication about the place how to check in, how to check out, what to expect, and give you info about the surrounding areas, the wifi, and lock box. the place is located on a cul de sac and back yard borders a national forrest. The proximity of the place was 8 mins to flagstaff and campus, 30 min to Sedona and approx 90 min to the Grand Canyon. There is a deck to relax with a BBQ and a 2 car garage, which we didnt use but just so you get the idea. If and we will be back , we will be staying at this place again. This sure beats a hotel.

Thanks Eve and Joe for an enjoyable experience

Great time!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great 4-night stay at the Little Elk Lodge. Everything was as advertised, and the location was convenient to both Sedona and the Grand Canyon. The cabin was very clean and all appliances/ gadgets etc. worked properly. There was plenty of room for our party of 6, including 3 kids. Eve was easy to reach and responsive if I had any questions or concerns about the property.

What is not evident from the pictures, however, is that the cabin is on a street with relatively close neighbors, so if you are looking for scenic views this is probably not the cabin for you. Overall, though, five stars!

Owner's Response: Glad you had a good time and thank you for the feedback. The cabin is on a "regular" sized residential lot, and we are happy to share the address in advance so a traveler can see it and the surrounding area on google maps. We want the traveler to have an accurate description of the cabin itself and the surrounding area. It does back national forest and there are no neighbors behind. You can walk right off the property into the forest and connect with hiking trails. There are neighbors though, and we are sorry that you found that one of them was not as you expected. In our opinion, the homes on the street are well maintained. Thanks for the feedback, and future guests, feel free to request the address so you can locate the property on google maps. Eve

Clean and comfy!

We had a great time at this cabin. The owners were quick to respond and patient when I had questions. The cabin made for a perfect home while we travelers to The Grand Canyon. It was a great place to stop during our travels from Albuquerque to Las Vegas.

Really enjoyed the stay

  • 5 of 5

We needed a place for 8 people in May for my son's college graduation. This cabin was perfect. Since we had relatives right up the road, we didn't use the BBQ grill though it would have been perfect for a relaxing BBQ on the deck! The cabin was clean and comfortable with all the comforts of home. A perfect place for a family - with or without children. I will definitely put this on my list to recommend and return to should we need overflow lodging again.

Quiet and close to Flagstaff

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Little Elk Lodge during NAU graduation weekend. We were a total of 6 adults and one baby and we all fit comfortably. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment to cook meals and there was plenty of space around the dining table. The deck was a perfect place to relax while looking out at the pines. Clean, comfortable and roomy. We hope to return again! Thanks for great place to stay.

Owner's Response: Our goal is to provide an enjoyable and relaxing experience away from the regular responsibilities of daily life. With that in mind, we put some thought into what we furnish the cabin with. We offer a kitchen with full supply of pots/pans/dishes/appliances, linens, and comfortable furnishings both inside and out on the patio. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

Biking, mountain biking, hiking, wild life viewing, cross-country

skiing and snowshoeing can be done right out of your back door.

There are at least three lakes within 20 minutes from the house if you

like fly-fishing, fishing or boating. Maps and directions for lakes

are at the property along with boat rental and tackle shop numbers.

Sedona is only 30 minutes South on I-17 with great restaurants, hiking

trails and shopping. Snow-Bowl ski resort is about 30 minutes North and

Flagstaff with all the amenities is just 5 minutes north. The Grand

Canyon is about 2 hours from the cabin or you can take the Grand Canyon

Railway from Williams.
