About Rafael

We are a senior retired couple, Italian citizens, coming from Brazil.

At this time of life, we use to travel and in the most part of the year the apartment use to be free for renting short term.

Rafael purchased this apartment in 2015

Why Rafael chose Briarforest

We bought this property because is located in a very quiet and safe place. If I don't have a car, I can take a Metro bus.

In the morning I use to hiking and this place is wonderful for it.

For shopping, in a snap you can achieve a supermarket, a drugstore or a warehouse.

What makes this apartment unique

The view from the balcony is amazing.

About noises from your neighbors? The apartment don't have anybody living in up or down of you.

The parking lot is provided with visitors parking and a covered assigned parking.

During winter you can stay in front of your wood burning fireplace to have a good time.

Lovely condo but not everything worked and there was construction across the street.

Directions to parking space needs to be added. Directions to condo from the parking space needs to be changed. The entrance to patio cannot be seen from the parking space. Condo is in the front. Key lock box is not on the floor but hidden behind holly bushes and attached to the patio fence. I had to call Comcast to arrange appointment to work on getting signal for television. TV set in living room too old to pick up signal. The ceiling fan with lights in the living room was not working. There was no hot water coming out of MB bathroom sink faucet. Faucet in tub was frozen, so could only take showers. Pillows only have cases on them. One roll of toilet paper for each toilette is provided and hand soap for each sink. Kitchen equipment was minimal. No coffee filters for coffee makers, or napkins, paper towels, plastic food storage etc. There was laundry soap. I bought many bathroom supplies of shampoo, conditioner, body gel etc. and left them there for the next renter. I stayed two weeks. The location was excellent. Must have car. Unfortunately construction began on the side street the first Monday morning at 7:30AM and went until 3:30PM or later for the first week and then work was moved to opposite side of the lot. Dump trucks and dirt movers were going mostly all day everyday. Condo was clean. Window sills and blinds need to be clean and the dirt ring on carpet around the perimeter of the bedroom needs to be vacuumed.The realtor manager was always responsive to my calls for help. The owner contacted me by email after I called Vacation Home Away with a request for directions to find the lock box. The phone number and email of owner listed is invalid. I would stay there again when the construction is over, after everything is fixed and cleaned. Adding a few extra supplies for the renters would be nice too.

Great Apartment

This place was absolutely lovely. Clean and cozy! Pedro was also very prompt with responses when communicating prior to my trip. Fantastic location. If I come back to Houston I will definitely be staying here again!

The apartment was just perfect for my needs including the location. It was clean and had all the amenities for a long stay away from home. Pedro was very kind and helpful. The internet connection was at times very questionable and sometimes not available at all. Same thing with the TV connection. Other than that everything was great.

Across the street there is an Elementary School.

Supermarkets like H&B and Walmart are less than 10 minutes. In the same place you will find the Lowe's store.

Galleria Mall is very easy to go from here and takes about 25 minutes.

The streets are very quiet and so safe, you can use hiking the pleople here to do.
