Francoise Jacquel purchased this house in 2014
We purchased this property because it is close to all the amenities by water and car, yet a very peaceful and safe neighbourhood.
The Sunrises are incredible every morning a new, beautiful work of art by mother nature. It is also very close to Port Charlotte harbour for fishing and Port Charlotte beach for relaxing and driving your boat right up onto the beach! There are at least seven very nice golf courses within a 30 minute drive. Tons of shopping just minutes away. The historical town of Punta Gorda is beautiful with many great restaurants, music and art festivals and farmers markets.
This is a perfect vacation getaway for a family with kids.Very clean comfortable house with everything you need. We lived in the pool morning and night and even swam in the rain.Swimming at night was our favorite as we lit the tiki torches and swam by firelight. Beach was very close, but we preferred walking out the kitchen area to our very own pool. Fishing and some visits from the friendly manatees are right in your backyard.Quiet neighbors and close to everything. Fran is great to work with and makes sure you are well taken care of. Our kids are 17 and 13 and said they preferred this to a hotel!!! Such a great value! Thank you Fran!!! Will be booking with you again!!!!
The property is beautifully furnished , tastefully decorated and situated in a very quiet backwater of the canal on the outskirts of Port Charlotte. The heated pool was well maintained and even in January we swam every day. We found it quite wonderful to watch a family of Manatees who seemed to play around the dock every afternoon.
We enjoyed taking our dog for long walks to the nearby parks and to the dog beach at Venice Beach, where there are two excellent places to eat. We spent a lot of time in Punta Gorda in the many shops and restaurants. Also rented a speed boat from here and spent a day visiting some of the more inaccessible islands.
Our favorite beach destination was Boca Grande which is a little further but well worth the drive
We went past Everglades City to Chokoloskee where we explored the old outpost which is now a museum, but still owned by the same family. After which we had a fantastic ride on Jungle Erv's swamp boat and visited the alligator Board walk.
We had a super holiday !Thanks Francoise!
