Great Lakefront Home

  • 5 of 5

My family spent a fantastic weeklong vacation at this home, and we would HIGHLY recommend it! There were 14 of us- 3 generations- and there was plenty of room for everyone. The bedrooms were spacious, the living area was bright and very comfortable, and the outside had lots of room for games and relaxation. The fire pit was wonderful at the end of each day. The proximity to town was great, within an easy walk or bike ride. There were a few cosmetic issues, but overall the owners take pride in sharing their family home, and address any problems immediately without question!

This house was in a fantastic location for my family. It was right on the lake and directly across from the town. You could see fireworks on Thursday night and hear music coming from town in the evenings. We brought kayaks, paddle boards, and a jet ski with us and were able to use them all week. Great spot!

FamilyVacation Ex 2014

  • 5 of 5

We were extremely pleased with our stay at this home. We loved everything about it, especially the location. It was very clean and tidy, with everything needed for cooking, grilling, etc. We had a houseful of family from young children to older teenagers and there was something in the area for everyone. There is a very cute park about a block away that that little boys loved. We were literally less than a 5 minute boat ride across the lake to the Village, much to the delight of the teenagers. The lake was generally very calm in this area and perfect for skiing and tubing, early morning fishing... The shoppes in the Village are within easy and enjoyable walking distance for morning coffee. There is a nice big yard - a huge plus as many homes on the lake have no yard whatsoever - with great seating areas to enjoy family time, relaxing, watching fireworks, or just lounging around the fire pit. The dock was great for our boat, swimming and fishing, and the weather was absolutely perfect the entire week! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay and definitely plan on returning. Everyone agreed, it was our best family vacation ever!! We highly recommend this vacation rental to all!!

What a view!!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a GREAT week on Lake George. We traveled with three families with kids ranging from 9-15. Without exception, after a few days we all agreed that we must return again next summer. The house was spacious enough for all. We rented a pontoon boat for the week from Chic's Marina- we were tubing and fishing daily. We found a company in town to deliver and pick up kayaks & paddle boards. (Riley's) We had a fire almost every night for s'mores and could hear some music from the village.

We found that everyone enjoyed "old time" family fun. Trading in our phones and computers for volleyball, soccer, playing cards around the table. Even the teens in the group were able to accomplish this. We were close enough to the village to allow the teens to walk in on their own. They even found a nearby park to play basketball. The steps leading to the house were a bit steep, but once we unloaded, we were set for the week. The washer/dryer was very convenient to have and made life easier. The "cottage" had all the amenities we needed to prepare meals and store our food and beverages(2 fridges). We chose to cook most nights, as it is difficult to dine with such a large group. We had a great dinner at The Boat House.

Every Thursday night the village hosts fireworks & I would say we had the best seats in the house. Although the area offers a variety of activities, we found it difficult to pull ourselves away from the relaxing views and water fun. Maybe next summer we will try parasailing over the lake or even a ride on the Minnie-Ha-Ha that went sailed by many times a day.

Great 2 family vacation close to town and right on the water

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't be more pleased with the facilities, the location, the sleeping arrangements and anything else you would want in a vacation home. The owners were extremely engaged and helpful with information before, during and after the stay. We rented a boat and kept at it their dock the whole time. The kids were on it for all 3 days. Firepit and BBQ area were outstanding. Hope to come back to the same house next year!

Huge House, Perfect Location!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

What a great vacation!!!!! The house was exactly as advertised and very clean. We stayed there with 11 people from age 5 up, and there was plenty of room both inside and out. We travel with the same group from place to place every year and this house is tops on our list. The common living room, dining room and kitchen is large enough for the entire crew. The Kitchen has pretty much any utensil you could want and a large selection of pots and pans. The house is spread out enough that if you want to go relax in one of the bedrooms and watch TV during the day or call it an early evening, you can do so without being bothered by the rest of the people in your party. The deck on the house is huge with a great view of the lake and a perfect place to hang out, grill, eat, play cards or whatever you wish. We lit a fire every night in the fire pit and the kids had fun with the Smores. During the day, the sun hits perfectly on the lawn and you can lay on one of the many lounge chairs, sit with your feet in the water or float on any one of the rafts. The entrance to the swimming area is safe for young kids and the grade of the bottom is gradual beach sand from 1ft at the wall you see in the picture to 6ft, then you hit lake bottom for as far out as you want to go. Every morning there was a family of ducks that would come by for their daily bread, the kids loved them. Fishing from the lawn or the end of the dock was fantastic. We pulled a 3.5lb large mouth bass, a 4lb large mouth bass, about 12 smaller bass, 2 catfish, a few perch, 2 pike and a ton of sunnies. You won't need the beach, but if you want, it is only a 10 minute walk and the Village is only another couple minutes from there. The Outlets, Log Jam, Georgies, Magic Forest and a bait store are all within a 5 minute ride. There is the biggest Walmart I ever stepped foot in one exit down in Glens Falls that has an entire food store inside. Great Adventure is also only one exit down and much larger than we expected. We even found a reasonably priced fish market, Adirondack Fish, 15 minutes away in Hudson Falls, where we were able to buy 10oz Lobster Tails and a bushel of clams for our last cookout.

We would not change a thing and highly recommend this house to anyone looking to visit Lake George.
