This home was incredible and really met our vacation needs!
Amazing property, private but enormous with plenty or bedrooms and bathrooms as well as almost every kitchen need you can think of. We cooked all but one meal at the house. The house is handicap accessible but I had a little trouble getting the wheel chair from the front porch into the house because of the step up. The ramp was great though. The elevator made this trip possible for my 92 y/o grandmother. Game room, movie room, pool and hot tub. We went in Feb so the pool was not operating yet but the hot tub was all we needed. Beach access was pretty nice with a private boardwalk and cabana. Two piers close by, one north and one south. I may have to come back next year because my family was in heaven.
Hi Jennifer! So glad to hear what an incredible time you all had with us! Thank you so very much for taking the time to write these kind words about our property and your experience. You were wonderful guests and we cannot wait to host you again in the future. Until then, best of wishes! ~ KEES Vacations
Great house but small inconveniences
This home is spectacular. We encountered several small inconveniences that distracted from the overall experience. Ice maker didn't produce NEARLY enough ice, several drawers and shelves in fridge were missing or broken, the TV/cable/DVD remotes and operation was confusing so it was not easy to operate.
But overall the house was great. We will return!
Great Seaside House, but. . .
The 14 family members in our group, ages 18 months to 93 years, enjoyed the luxury of this beautifully designed and well-located house. The complimentary services (daily placement and removal of a beach cabana with chairs and ice water, daily trash removal and towel exchange by Olivia, mid-week pool sanitizing) made our lives easier. However, we were surprised to discover in this unusually fine home a disappointing lack of cleanliness. In the main kitchen the ice maker and the Mr. Coffee were so corroded/scummy that we dared not use them. The sink faucet when pulled out to spray displayed a disgusting amount of moldy matter. Dishes and silverware had to be carefully inspected, because a few items had been put away with dried food on them. Knives needed sharpening. Cabinet doors needed wiping. The first floor refrigerator also needed attention. If we moved a chair in the media room or the living room a few inches, we discovered old gum wrappers, popcorn, and other debris underneath. Each of these lapses, taken alone, would seem trivial; but as we kept on discovering them in a house with such creative attention to so many other details, we were somewhat jarred. Had we known at the beginning of our stay just how many cleaning flaws we would find, we would have called the Kees office and asked for another cleaning, but we discovered them over time, each seeming not worth the interruption of someone coming in to clean.
More extensive training of cleaning personnel and more thorough inspections between guests would make this an undisputed five-star property.
The house was wonderful. We had 4 families, with plenty of space for everyone. We were disappointed that the outdoor pool was not going to be heated until April 1. We had been counting on the heated pool since we knew the beach water was too cold for swimming, but failed to read the fine print at the end of the email.
