Great Cottage, great stay.

We had a mini-family reunion last weekend at Vine Cottage, the cottage was easy to find, the hosts welcoming, lovely restoration with every amenity we needed. Beautifully decorated, but not overly, plenty of room for us. We'll be back.

Charming nice size cottage for small or large groups :)

  • 5 of 5

We were able to have our daughter, son- in-law and new grandbaby stay with us this weekend in this darling quaint cottage instead of a hotel in different rooms. The kitchen makes you feel like you have stepped back in time, but with a modern twist. Very clean and convenient! We made pizzas, were able to use the dishwasher and had plenty of room for several people who came over from Lynchburg to visit us. It has plenty of room to sit ...comfy living room couch and nice chairs. Our absolute favorite was feeding the beautiful horses down at the barn on the 50 acre property and getting a tour of Cliff's plantation home Bed and Breakfast! So cool! It was just a darling place and so pretty out there with the rolling hills in the background of the property. We will definitely go back sometime over the next few years! I would certainly recommend! :)

Amazing hosts, beautiful cottage and spectacular scenery!

  • 5 of 5

We had the wonderful opportunity to stay at the Vintage cottage and I have to say it was one of the best, most peaceful and relaxing experiences we could have asked for. It started with meeting the two owners of the property. They were kind, gracious and willing to help with anything we needed. They gave us a wonderful tour and education of the Forest Oaks estate/property and you can tell they have put their heart and souls into making it one of the best places to stay and experience in the area.

The cottage itself was beautiful inside with big windows to enjoy the view of the mountains, pond and the property itself. We would highly recommend anyone to experience the history of the property and the graciousness of the owners. They are working on the renovations of the manor house , which is out of this world and turning it into a bed and breakfast, as well as, a future wedding venue. I know all the hard work and Cliff and Chris's generosity, this is going to be one of the best places to experience on the east coast!

Wonderful , wonderful property and caretakers!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I travel quite a bit due to my line of work. We have stayed in many cabins, cottages, B&B's and I must say this was one of the best properties we have encountered. The cottage was well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The surrounding grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed walking the estate and visiting the horses. It is really a beautiful cottage. Cliff and Chris were some of the most gracious and pleasant hosts we have ever encountered. They were extremely responsive to any questions we had and took their time to give us a delightful tour of the estate house they are renovating. Their attention to detail in the renovation is outstanding and we look forward to future stays in the cottage and the "soon to be opening" Bed and Breakfast. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area this should be your #1 pick. Whether for a small or large group, this property can easily accommodate you. It is very convenient to Natural Bridge, Lexington, VMI, Buena Vista. We can't say enough good things about our stay. Just a great experience. We hope to visit again soon.

Top shelf property. It is by far the biggest renovation project that I have ever personally seen a pair of people take on. Our cottage was great. The main manor is out of this world and the property has a nice view of multiple overlapping ridge lines.

Amazing Experience!

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough about our stay. This is a gorgeous property. The cottage balances the availability of 5 bedrooms with the coziness you would want. Cliff was so welcoming and available if we had any questions. He even rushed to the store and surprised us with coffee pods when we mentioned we needed to get some for the coffee maker! I would come back again as would my friend. As dog lovers - I should also mention that the owners are animal lovers too and took pleasure in meeting our pups. They also encouraged us to walk the property and I can't tell you how much my dogs loved romping through the expansive fields on the estate. Just amazing an experience. We will definitely go back again and recommend Vine Cottage to our friends. Thanks Cliff!!!!
