Make yourself at home, our guest house in quite neighborhood on Copano Bay 5 miles from downtown Rockport TX, is Your Rockport Home. Fish from our private bulkhead and partial pier. We are undergoing some repairs to the pier so we have about 700 feet of usable pier however it is not all lighted. We have light at the bulkhead and at the 200 foot mark you are welcome to use it as is. We are working to finish repairs and will update as they are done. Enjoy our one acre yard or drive five miles to downtown Rockport and the only certified eco clean beach in Texas. Rockport - Fulton known as the charm of the Texas coast has many restaurants and activities for all. Guest house has a queen bedroom, kitchen, queen sofa sleeper and all the amenities to use for up to 4 people. Our property is kid friendly and we allow up to one small dog under 30 lbs, no fenced yard so a leash is a must. A great place to fish or just relax and enjoy our breath taking view.
I am a semi retired business person with a sometimes real estate bend. I LOVE the beach and fishing. My husband loves our semi rural life outside San Antonio so we do both. My motto is Life is fun!
owner/property manager purchased this cottage in 2001
We love Rockport the laid back life style and the small town feel so we started our search for the property that fit our personalities and found our way here.
Quite semi rural setting 5 miles or so from town, we have that breath taking waterfront.
The Cabana was the perfect place to stay for us. The pier was nice and private, the bedroom, kitchen, and living area all had plenty of space. Cable, WiFi good and plenty of dishes, cookware, towels, blankets etc. Would definitely stay again as well as recommend to others for R&R, peace & quiet and enjoy scenic drives to beach and touristy areas nearby.
Perfect place, we will be coming back. My husband grew up 2 doors down. Brought back lots of memories. Pier was awesome.
This is a great little place to stay in a great little coastal town. The property is right on Copano Bay, and there is a pier you can walk out on to fish, watch the sunset, or stargaze. A few folks have mentioned that the dock not 100% operational - this is true. Living on the coast brings surprises, and one of those is storms, and it looks like storm took out the end of the dock. However, at least 150 feet is usable for walking out and enjoying the water.
The room is a one bedroom unit with a full kitchen, a small TV area, and a small bathroom. All of it was clean and worked well.
The best feature of this place is the view - you can't find a waterfront room for this price anywhere on Copano or Aransas Bay. Add in the fishing pier and the BBQ grill onsite, and you've got a nice little place. Plenty of room to park and downtown Fulton is about 7 min away, and downtown Rockport is about 10 minutes away.
Thoroughly enjoyed this little place.
A great idea for this home owner who converted 1/3 of a very large metal (3 port) garage into a litttle bed and breakfast/ guest house. It is well kept and is obviously always being upgraded as expenses allow. Looks like new fixtures and stone tile were recently added. This years project was the repaired/ new pier and it is still in the works after the devastating storm last winter. Nevertheless, we were able to go out 2.3 of the way to a nice spot and do a little fishing. Never caught anything big enough to keep but had fun knowing it was our own little private pier in a quiet paradise of palm trees and green plants. Very quiet and calm. A storm was supposed to show up but never did, just the breeze and cooler weather. This hidden away secret is one we will return to again. Can't wait to see the next waive of improvements!
This is a great little place to stay if you are looking for relaxation and fishing. The house is cozy and equipped with all necessities. The pier is about 500 feet long and allows for great fishing.... We caught sizeable trout, gaff tops, pompano, and a redfish lurking by the bulkhead. The owner was nice enough to offer to allow us to fish a few extra hours after we'd cleared out at checkout time.
I'd highly recommend this spot to anyone interested in a quiet place to get away from the noise and lose yourself catching fish and relaxing.
Property and location had everything we wanted. Secluded but still easily accessible to town for groceries, restaurants, etc.
The place itself was clean with a large kitchen. clean bathroom and cozy bedroom. It was the perfect size for my wife and I. The air conditioner was cold which helped during the hot summer days we were there. Access to Rockport as well as Mustang Island was easy but were still able to enjoy solitude away from the highway. Would definitely recommend and cannot wait to go back.
We were very pleased with our stay here. It is located close enough to everything yet far enough away to be peaceful. The apartment was very clean and had all of the amenities that we needed. The owner was very accessible and very accommodating.
